What lies Beneath. On the surface, looks like a genuine independent toy shop. Dig a little deeper and you'll find their toys are expensive. Dig further and you'll find they'll treat you more as a cash dispenser rather than a valued customer who might want to come back. Don't bother. There a many more genuine toy stores out there and offering better selections and better deals. Save your time, money and patience.

Used to like this store . . .. My wife purchased a kid's guitar that was, according to the packaging, of basic instrumental quality. When my son went for a lesson, the teacher examined it and explained that it was a toy, not an instrument, in that it could not be tuned. The store (clerk, manager, owner) refused to take it back, saying that, despite the packaging, it was purchased in a toy store, so my wife was on notice that it was, in fact, just a toy. The general attitude was caveat emptor (buyer beware), and that, 'hey, we've got your money, and tough luck.' This is rather unfortunate, becasue our past experiences there had been quite good - the staff never minded kids coming into the store and playing with the display toys, even when parents failed to properly control their kids, and they really do have a great selection (inlcuding lots of Playmobil stuff). However, we no longer patronize them if we can avoid it.

THE RUDEST SERVICE AND MOST ENTITLED STAFF. You are better off buying what you are looking for on Amazon. These people are so rude and unhelpful. My son turned 2 yesterday and my father purchased him a Kettler tricycle. They assembled it with a broken and cracked seat. I asked for a new bike (mind you this product is $285.00) We hadn't even taken out of the store. The sales girl said they wouldn't replace the bike and proceeded to yell at me. She said they would only replace the seat and then when the horrible manager came out of the back instead of asking what was going on proceeded to ignore me and demand that she just return us our money at which point in front of the whole store she turns and says "Her daddy paid for it." This store is rude and I would love for them to go out of business

Editorial Review. Tribeca toy store focuses on educational and creativity-inspiring toys from Brio, Playmobil, Lego, Schleich and more.
