I took some suits I bought at Talbot's to get altered at Leon's. I chose this place because I wanted the alterations to be done right for two interview suits (I'm a law student). Plus, I thought if I was happy with the experience, I would go back in a few years and have them make me a suit. The person I worked with was really rude, and called my clothes cheaply made. I don't think my suits are cheaply made, but even if they are, why insult a customer? They did an alright job with the alterations, though I've since had to get some of them re-altered (the pants were still too long, even wearing the same shoes I wore to the fitting). I probably should have just taken my clothes and left, but that was my mistake. The price was also very high for the alterations, I thought ($200+ for two pants, a skirt, and a jacket) Horrible service--save your money and go elsewhere!

I went into Leon Tailoring and ordered/got measured for a sportcoat and two dresshirts. The process seemed hurried but I figured they knew what they were doing. I went back for a test fitting and at that time expressed concerns about the size of the garments. They dismissed my concerns and said the clothes shouldnt touch my body . They also told me the buttons I picked were ugly and picked out some they liked. When I received the garments I expected a final fitting and quality check but they just took my $1000.00 and handed me the garments. When I got home and examined the garments the coat was not what I ordered and was way too big. The shirts were roughly what I ordered but the fit was again way too big. To make sure I have taken these garments to show some other tailors in the city. The other tailors told me the garments were made from cheap materiel. The sportcoat wasnt really a sportcoat at all and that I was way overcharged. I have been back three times now trying to resolve this issue and it has not been resolved at all. They have made haphazard attempts to alter the garments. Not to mention the coat is not what I ordered to start with. The two shirts now are two very different sizes and the left sleeve doesnt match the right sleeve on either shirt. Once I expressed dissatisfaction with the shirts the owners of Leons have treated me with a very cool attitude and been very argumentative the whole time. I contacted outside agencies about the matter. Leons responded to the agencies with a letter full of spin/half truths/and flat out lies regarding the matter. They clearly had not concern with resolving the matter just not getting a bad mark with the agencies. Even with the intervention from third parties they refuse to make this right so we are going to a binding arbitration hearing sometime in the near future. If you are looking for a tailor in this city I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. I wouldnt wish my experience on anyone!
