What a great spa day!!.
i try to visit Sweet lily whenever i get some "me" time. each time i go i instantly feel relaxed. i feel transformed by the time i leave and i love sitting in the big pedi chairs with a cup of tea that is always offered upon arrival. i love going so much that i would buy this gift for all of my loved ones....thats how special a place it is. the mani/pedi can last up to 2 weeks and the lip balm at the register is #1. try the coco-vanilla!!!
i love it there!! treat yourself!!!
Great service and beautiful space. Tried out Sweet Lily because I purchased a groupon....couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. I was offered tea and the girl who did my nails was really good. I totally relaxed in the cute rocking chair while my nails dried. Warm atmosphere from the welcome and the manager even took the time to talk to me about the non toxic polishes. I'll definately go back again!
A lesson in terrible customer service. I WAS a regular customer at Sweet Lily, despite their very high prices. Time after time, I was made to wait for my mani / pedi despite long-standing appointments. Still I said nothing because it's hard to find a clean place, and the technicians were good and friendly. The last straw came when the owner one day wanted to close shop early. I had had my appointment booked two weeks prior to this, mind you, and called to confirm it the day before. Instead of being told that I would be the last appointment of the day, the owner said nothing. The day of my treatment, she told me they'd be doing my manicure first, which I found annoying because it left me with no time for my pedicure to dry. Once the services were finished, the owner literally turned off the lights and a.c. and started to pull the window grate down. Shocked, I explained that I wanted my *very expensive* mani / pedi to dry before I left. The owner told me -- on a 90 degree day -- to sit on the bench in front of the store, because she had a wedding to go to. I told her I didn't think that was right, and that she should have warned me she needed to hurry me out. She literally said "fine, sit here all goddamned day!" SERIOUSLY? What a B! The least she could have done was warn me when the appointment was made! that was it for me. On many occasions prior I witnessed what a ditz she was. Totally unprofessional. I'd rather spend the money at Jin Soon or Rescue! Nicer spas, anyway.
Lovely!. Sweet lily is one of the loveliest places to visit in the city for a Mani/Pedi. I've been going to this cozy country retreat for 5 years. The service is excellent, the products are excellent, as well as the atmosphere. The ladies that work there are very Lind and sweet, they know what they're doing. I usually get the cucumber Pedi and lavender mani. I always feel pampered, and it is a nice place to take your BFF for a girls day and get mani's and pedi's.
Love It!. A client of mine gave me a gift certificate to Sweet Lily for the holidays - I was expecting a really ordinary run of the mill pedicure and manicure but got a lot more! As a massage therapist, I work in a lot of spas and was actually impressed with how clean the place was...I even grilled the manager about the sterilization and was really happy with the answers. I guess people who just want a cheapie nail joint will not understand - but I don't want harmful chemicals in my services and I don't want to get a cruddy fungus from a place either - so I'll pay a little more that piece of mind. This was a great gift and I'll definately be back again!
Mani/Pedi - Good; Waxing - Bad. my mani/pedi was awesome. i would recommend you treat yourself. HOWEVER, my bikini wax was HORRIBLE. I got really bad ingrowns. I usually go to bliss or red door b/c they don't use strips. Unfortunately, i was lazy and they had an opening....I now realize how sensitive my skin is and have learned my lessoned. The experience was so bad i'm thinking of getting laser so i won't have to deal with waxing at all anymore.
Sweet place - spa service lacking. I went in here to get my feet and legs exfoliated before the holiday weekend. The place is darling and the woman at the front reception area was very nice. I requested the Sweet & Simple cucumber pedicure, which includes a sugar exfoliant - Cost $44 bucks. The woman - who never said a word to me while preforeming the pedicure - exfoliated the bottom of my feet and ankles. I asked her to go up to my knees. She looked at my like I was crazy, and went up mid calf. I thought maybe she did not understand english , so I pointed to my knees and did not get a response. At this point I gave up - but was VERY disappointed as my legs need the exfoliant and it was the primary reason for getting the $44 pedicure. Next time I'll go to my neighborhood spa fpr $25 bucks.
Sweet and sassy all-natural services at a painstakingly clean Tribeca spot..
The Space
Spacious and shabby-chic, the main treatment room has a comfortable, country feel with oak floors, three overstuffed pedicure chairs, a vintage farm table for manicures and plenty of antique detailing. Past the mani/pedi area is a small waxing room. An extensive boutique carries all-natural items.
The Services
Choose from a small menu of all-natural, chemical-free nail treatments, including the signature Honey Walnut manicure or pedicure with soothing warm milk, almond oil and a ground honey-walnut mask--blended daily on the premises. Seasonal specials with fruit exfoliants are also offered. Indeed, all treatments incorporate the healing properties of natural fruits, vegetables and essential oils; polishes are formaldehyde- and toluene-free. Tea-tree-cream organic waxing and nail strengthening treatments also available.
Longest lasting mani/pedi I've ever had. I don't go out of my way to protect my manicures, and I tend to be hard on my hands. I've had two manicures here and both of them lasted longer than any I've ever had before at any price point. The same is true of the pedicures. The technicians are very pleasant and thorough. It's clean, but warm and friendly without being intrusive. I brought my daughter for a mani/pedi as well. She loved it! Their products are great as is their staff. It's very clean and professional as well.
