Burgers can't be beat. Went here Saturday afternoon to watch the Derby and have a burger. They were nice enough to tune our TV to the Derby although other sets were tuned to baseball or a fight or a Ranger game. We were in town to vacation, take in a Yankee game and a show. Had eaten alot of good food but I was ready for a simple meal. The burgers are cooked to order, my wife likes 'em cooked all the way through and I like 'em warm. Both were done just right, I can't cook one better than this. They are expensive but you're in midtown Manhattan. Looks like a bargain compared to the $360 for dinner two nights previous. I can't wait to go back. Watresses were great. Loved it.

Classy Midtown Joint. Stands out among other 'Irish' midtown hostelries on offer. Great music (surely the only place where corporate types nod along to Beyoncee, Rage Against The Machine and Otis Redding on the same night!), and knowledgeable and likeable bartenders. Also, very accomodating for sports, with friendly staff willing to put your team on big screen upon request. Fun for after work cocktails where one rubs shoulders with local workers and the occasional tourist, with some fun tunes and good sports. We're almost regulars, hope to be so soon!

modern, fun pub. I love this place. We go everytime we;re in midtown. Wonderful, friendly staff. We love the burgers and fish and chips. Also the irish smoked salmon. The room upstairs is fabulous for a party. Nice views and spacious. Upstairs you have your own bar. we had 60 people for my sister's 40th and everyone loved the food. After the party ended, we continued downstairs. Beautiful, long bar and lots of fun Irish and English tourists. The music was great and the atmosphere electric. Ask for Noel the manager. He'll take great care of you.

What a find so impressive. Eamonns is so much fun. I found this midtown bar a few month ago at a work party and have been back for lunch on several ocassions. The staff are very accomodating the food is amazing, the burgers are the bomb. If the weather is good try to get the table by the front window. Definately recommend Eamonns to anyone who wants to hang out in Midtown.

Where have you people been eating?. I'm in midtown a lot around both lunch and dinner, and Eamonn's is one of my favorite places to go. The bar serves good strong drinks and the food is great. I sometimes have a problem understanding the Irish accents, but they are always jovial and don't mind repeating themselves until I finally get it. I'm really surprised to read so many poor reviews...

Is it happy hour yet?. If your stuck in midtown this is a great place to stop for a bite to eat or a quick beer. Its a favorite in our office. Their bar tapas menu is excellent, espec the chorizo and swedish meatballs. Dinner is great, always good music, and there's sports (on mute) on the telly's to keep the boys happy. The irish fish and chips is as good as leo burdocks although no shepherds pie will ever beat my grans recipe this comes pretty close, with nice fluffy potatoes. In short they work hard for the 'best of citysearch' label, and it fits.

Very Impressed, Excellent Service. I have been a regular Lunch patron at Eamonns for the past 3 years. I must admit the service, food, atmosphere and personality of this bar is by far the best in the neighbourhood. I regularly bring clients from out of town and they are always very impressed. The food is amazing I will be back......

Don't Eat Here!. Last week, I went to this place for a co-worker birthday. Service was long, but could be expected since it was the height of the lunch hour. Overlooking the long service and the attitudes, the waitress served our food cold, rare and had even served one of our friend's the wrong dish. When confronted, she (the waitress) became increasingly defensive and began scolding us. The manager was no help either. He too was condensing, rude and offered us no apology for her behavior or a quick meal. I do not recommend this place at all. Unless you like to get abused during your lunch hour.

AWFUL SERIVCE!!!. Eammons has the worst possible service of any restaurant I have ever been to. THe waitress brought me the wrong lunch and wouldn't admit it and wouldn't bring me another meal. Her manager was just as rude as she was. It was extremely frustrating. I have never dealth with service so poor. I would never go back to the restaurant. Not to mention...the food is AWFUL!

Horrible Customer Service!!!. We decided to take our friend to Eamonn's for her Birthday. We had been there once before about a year ago. The waitress came over and took our order quickly enough. One of our friends asked what was in a Western Omlette and the waitress told her. Well our friend doesn't eat ham so that was out. Our friend then asked the waitress "can the cook make me an omlette to order" and the reply was "well I don't know, he's kinda busy". So she ordered a salad instead. 10 minutes later the waitress asked our friend "what do you want in your omlette" and our friend replied "egg whites only, american cheese, red peppers and onions". Great! She can get what she wants. When the food comes out our friend is handed an omlette that definately had ham in it and swiss cheese. She told the waitress that this isn't what she ordered because there's ham in it" and the waitress preceeds to read off her pad and says "well you ordered ham, I have it written down". And she repeats this over and over as our friend is trying to tell her "that's not what I ordered; I can't eat ham"!!! Mind you, no sort of appology or "oh I'm sorry I must have misunderstood you" or "I'm sorry, let me see what we can do"....NOTHING. Just an obviously upset server who wrote down an order incorrectly and who didn't want to admitt it. Then the Manager comes over and looks at our friend and says "oh you didn't like the omlette" and again our friend tries to tell the Mgr. "it's not what I ordered". So now you would think the Manager would try and make ammends.....No. He now tells our friend that he can get her another omlette made in about 20 minutes. Hey! We'll be out of time and on our way back to work then!!! Not even a simple "we're sorry for the error" came through this persons lips.

What ever happened to the customer comes first? Obviously that was never a policy at Eamonn's.
