Amazing Facial & Great Staff – I work a few blocks away from this upscale boutique spa and store. They were offering a summer special on their facials (15% off) so I decieded to book an appointment. Upon my arrival the staff was friendly and extremely welcoming. My esthetician was very through and this was probably one of the most relaxing but effective facials I have ever had! She was not pushy but recommedned a few produtcs to take home, which I purchased, and I LOVE! The Herbal Recovery Gel is amazing and leaves my sking glowing and hydrated, I booked my next facial on the spot and cant wait to go back again!! Also- when you rebook they give you 15% off.
If you are looking for a fantastic facial with organic products, this is the spot for you!!
Great Products, but not spa feel if thats what you want – I wasn't that surprised when I arrived for my facial yesterday as I had read a review of someone stating that this was not a spa like location. Of course I read that review after I had booked and couldnt not cancel my appointment with out being charged. But that was OK. I was really interested in getting a good facial, that would make my skin feel clean and that is what I got.
The girl that did my facial, was extremely sweet, gave a really great facial, it was relaxing and I loved the product. The only negative to the facial was i walked out of there, feeling extremely greasy and overloaded with products. To the point that I had to go home and immediately wash my face and take a shower (I was also very greasy from the massage she gave, behind my ears, hairline, etc). It was all great, but the products she used for me were a bit heavy and over applied.
In addition to the non spa like feel - the room was very spa like, but if you are looking for a place where you change into a big plush comfy robe, sit and relax in a tranquil room, drink tea and feel super relaxed, this isn't your place. You wait in a hallway that is on the way to their back storage room behind a store (which is very nice I must add). So its simply a place to come and get a facial.
I did this for spa week, so it was $50 and I also bought products, because I did love them - so worth it for the quality of what you get, just not the atmosphere.
Great Price + Great Vibe/Atmosphere = Great Experience – My husband actually had purchased a gift certificate for a facial for my birthday (since he works in the area.) I had never heard of the product or company before but decided I'd make a trip to the city to try it out! I am so glad I did! The staff was very warm and inviting (and everyone had such amazing skin!) My esthetician was so helpful and informative and she really took her time with me. The facial itself was so relaxing and I left with such a nice glow (and yeah! no breakouts afterward!) I booked another treatment on the spot and I am looking forward to it! Oh and I also really loved the atmosphere of the store itself - decor was very chic but still warm and home-like. The only people who would be disappointed may be people who really love "spa" atmospheres as this is more of a store with spa rooms attached.
Hardly a Spa/Bad Service – First of all this is a store not a SPA. The staff is rude the ambience is filthy, boxes everywhere, stains on the wall, dirty furniture. I don't recommend it whatsoever. If you are looking for an inexpensive facial with an excellent product then maybe its for you. I personally found the Manager to be incredibly nasty and the esthetician seemed unhappy to be there. A spa is a place you go to be pampered by EXPERIENCED STAFF. I always loved Jurlique but I would never go to that location again.
All-natural beauty at this Aussie-based day spa. – In Short
With their top-notch organic and homeopathic beauty products sold around the world and used by some of New York's most prestigious aestheticians, the Jurlique spa offers the same natural goodness from the people who designed it. Their soothing facials have earned a cult following among earthy girls and Hollywood celebrities alike who want a pure, ethereal glow tailored to their specific skin needs without harsh chemicals.
impressive – Price for the signature facial is about $100 but they do have spa week occasionally and it turns out to just about $75 a facial... facial is great (you will leave with a glow on your face), products are gentle, facialist is very informative and no one is pushing you to buy anything. I recently bought a package of 5 facials which they give you the 6th free. wut a great deal!!!
