Great Place - Great People. BB&R is a great place. It is a nice lounge on the upper scale side without being overly pretentious. The staff is great and usually eager to please their customers. It is a bit small which some might view as a negative, but I like it because it encourages socializing and meeting new people. For those who like to shoot pool, BB&R has one of the nicest billiards tables with plenty of straight cues with good tips - I highly recommend this place if interested in finding a good game. For those who like to hunt, you'll be entertained with Big Buck Hunter Pro. And you will always find that as the night goes on the dancing will start in the back room. So BB&R has packed a little something for everyone into this great, comfortable spot. Definitely worth checking out!

The best Place in the city!. I had my Birthday Party and my husbands at BB&R! The owners are wonderful people they treat you like family! My friends all love the atmosphere!

Great Party Space. I am an event planner and I friend of mine wanted to have a surprise 30th for his GF and her twin sister. He asked that I help set the party up so after researching for a place that would fit what they wanted, I contacted BB&R and they were great from the beginning; Michael Glick and his staff were excellent. Everyone at the party was commenting on how great the party was and that the staff was outstanding. I would highly recommend BB&R for private parties.

Thanks Michael, I hope to throw another event there soon!

Amazing New Years. Went to BB&R to avoid the New Years hype and was pleasantly surprised, loved that there was no cover. The bar was packed all but we never felt that typical new years overcrowding. Me and my friends had no problem getting drinks all night and we had a great time dancing to our favorite music. I highly recommend the pear martinis!! Will definitely be back soon...

Chill spot for College Football. Me and some of my friends went to BB&R to watch Michigan Game

last saturday. Paul, the bartender was really friendly. Place was

really clean and comfortable. We all ate off of their bar menu and

were really surprised how delicious the food was. Thankfully, Michigan

is back on a roll which made our time even better. We will definitely

be back.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, good food

Cons: Still quiet for college football, i guess a pro or a con

Birthday party. Had my birthday party at BB&R last weekend and we had a great time. We reserved some banquet tables in the back room which acted as a great home base. We partied hard listening to great tunes. The cocktail waitress' were awesome and took great care of us. Just wanted to thank BB&R for making my B-day so much fun! FYI, never seen a bar kept so clean, really!

Last weekend. Well I was browsing the internet for this bar and wasn't surprised to see a mention of that incident last weekend. I saw it too, and let's just say it was strange how the leadership of the bar handled it, and that's me being nice as always! Seemed like a cool place though, good music and sports watching, which led me to check it out - although like the previous poster sallythomas, I think I may spend my time elsewhere! Strange how there are so many positive posts all of a sudden?

Worth the trip from Union Square. I love this bar!!! I actually feel like singing the "cheers" theme song everytime I go...

Ive been in NYC for over 8 years and have never found a bar that makes everyone feel so at home.

I live downtown and I try at least once a week to get to BBR. I never miss Karaoke night for sure. But i know I can catch the Mets or Jets on any day they play and know that I, and anyone I bring, is always welcome.

Each time I go, I walk in and the bouncer is always friendly and the entire staff welcomes me as I arrive.

I have had my birthday and company parties at BBR and have always had the best time. Ive made friends with the locals and I am so conformtable that I know I can come with friends or even alone. This truly is a place where "everyone knows (or will know) your name." They have the best music, great vibe and I just wish it was closer to home.

Im jealous of the upper east side and hope the owners open something downtown.

Dont miss out on this great bar. I love it and thank you BBR for always taking care of me when Im there!

a great place. I wanted to respond to Sarah?s review. I feel like you did not get the true feeling of the place. I have been going there as a regular for the past 10 months, and I can?t imagine there would be any decisions made that were racially motivated. From your review you did not seem to be involved in any of the confrontation and as would I; only have an outsiders view. I just feel horrified that you would write such a disturbing review. Everyone at the bar is kind and respectful, race, gender and religion is not a factor. I think you should come back and see that there are usually not confrontations and we are usually a nice, local bunch of people watching a game or getting a bite to eat.

Sincere Apology. To SGBODO, I am the owner of BB&R and I want to apologize about your bad experience at BB&R. I assure you that under the law we are required to check all ID's for each person (regardless of age) that enters the bar and we are put under a lot of pressure by local precincts to comply with this law. We make every attempt to recognize all returning guests as we know we are nothing without our regulars. I will make every attempt to win you back if you give me that chance.
