I have been to many salons before and Friends is a keeper so far. Oz is my main man and he really knows what he's talking about. He has an eye for whats good for you.

My hair has been much healthier (I get highlights every 6-ish weeks) and it's not crispy or burnt. I don't use a hair iron anymore (ok, maybe special events or humidity).

Only thing that's annoying (its ceased though) is the fact that they try and sell the brazilian keratin. Besides that Con, everything else is fab ...

Seriously unhappy customer

Now I know why I don't see many people go to this salon. I went in with a photo of what I wanted and somehow ended up with something completely different. Besides of being burnt during blow-drying, and hair being pulled during the layering process which was after blow-drying (sharpen those layering scissors or do it while my hair is still wet!), the blow-dryer person had the audacity to use the same brush someone else had just used (isn't this a health code violation?). Seriously not worth the price, considering besides of not getting what I wanted out of the cut, my hair didn't even come out even on both sides. Now I have to pay more money to get this fiasco fixed. I should have just gone to Manhattan for this price.

Best in Queens

Hi,

I have been going to expensive hair saloons. I will never again. They have names and good PR's that does not mean they are the best. If you can explain them what you want and if you have a picture of the hair style you want to have you are good to go. I brought them a picture and color sample it was exactly the on in the picture and even better. They speak Turkish but they try to give best service possible. I recommend you bring your sample. Otherwise they speak good English too but in case. They are not fancy but place is nice and clean and away cheaper cheapar cheapar then the once are fancier. They do a great job. I mean GREAT!! I am from Manhattan but I do my hair in Astoria, Ditmars. It is only one train ride away. Go, explain and wait for the great result
