Brooklyn Bagels.
Brooklyn Bagels..The best thing to happen in my neighborhood. The bagels are yummy, the coffee is amazing! They have soups and lots of other food, the staff is friendly. It's a real treat.

What NY Bagels are Made of.
Thing 1: Don't be afraid of the lines
Thing 2: Don't be afraid to call and have them deliver on a morning when you're hung over
Thing 3: Don't be afraid to bring a dozen to your family in Boston so they can taste what real bagels are made of.
Thing 4: Try ordering an everything bagel not toasted with mayo, sliced turkey, bacon, American Cheese, and a little bit of lettuce (this is a turkey club, but they've never heard of one before so you have to be very specific)
Thing 5: Muffins
Thing 6: If you crave something salty, order a salt bagel but tell them to scrape all the salt off...enough salt is left behind on the bagel that it is delicious with a bit of butter and won't kill you.
Thing 7: Raisin Bagel lightly toasted with cream cheese.
Thing 8: Brooklyn Bagel
Thing 9: Stop reading this and call.
The Wheat Crisis is OVER!. I work in Astoria and live in Staten Island, NY. I love bagels (even though they are loaded with carbs and i do my best to watch what i eat) and was soo glad when i first tasted the bagels at "Brooklyn Bagels" 2 years ago. The prices were alittle STEEP then but i just couldnt get enough of their bagels and specialty cream cheeses. I also liked the friendly staff (they would remember my coffee order or even have it ready for me when i got through the long line of customers). However, the prices for these bagels and specialty cream cheese have sky rocketed and are ASTRONAUMICAL!!! THE WHEAT CRISIS IS OVER!! There is no reason any person (ESPECIALLY DURING THE RECESSION) should pay $3.40 for a bagel with bacon and scallion cream cheese! Or $5.10 for a mini bagel with tuna salad for that matter!!! Granted, this is the only bagel store in town...BUT C'MON! Once in awhile sure but go to dunkin donuts down the block for a better deal..
Best Bagels in New York. The quality of these bages far surpasses any bagels I have ever eaten. I love their extraordinary large size as well as the way they are very chewy, like goo bread. The toppings are absolutely grand in that they are liberally applied to the entire surface area of the bagel. My favorites are garlic, onion, cinnamon and raisin, plain, salt. Come to think of it all of them are great. My only wish is that I could import them to Houston.
THE BEST IN ASTORIA.
Great place to have Lunch... The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Bagels are all hand roll, and thats is the reason why they are so huge, for sure the best in Astoria.
I have been going there for 3 years now and i eat there at least 3 times a week.
lunch and brunch there can be very crowded at times, unless you get there before 11:30 or after 1pm. They also have a great delivery service if you want to eat at the confort of your home.
Queens has the best bagels!. Whole Wheat Everything bagel! Yes, the lines on the weekend can be intimidating, but a line to the end of the door moves in 10 minutes. Again, Whole Wheat Everything Bagel; nuff said!
Best. Bagels. Ever.. Love, love, love Brooklyn Bagel! The counterpersons are great (even if they do, on occasion, get our order wrong), the selection outstanding, and the prices reasonable. My colleagues actually put in orders for me to pick up their breakfasts en route to work and I am now the official bagel-bringer for all our work functions -- the bagels are that good. They also have mini versions of most of the different bagel types for those with less hearty appetites -- and even the minis are pretty big. Only two complaints -- not enough seating inside and the line is out of control and chaotic, but the food is so good it makes up for any shortcomings.
They Deliver. nice atmosphere. the food is great and the price is right. although is gets crowded, that's my problem. i need to figure out when the off peak hours are, so that i can get my food super quick.
Great bagels with one small caveat. There's no doubt this is the best bagel place in Astoria, with a great selection of flavors and toppings. The only issue is the bagels far too big - they are not traditional bagels. Most of the time this means they're chewy on the outside but barely cooked on the inside. I recommend toasting any bagel you get here, unless it's clear that they're overcooked on the outside (as it sometimes is). Otherwise, though, the texture of the bagels is very nice, and their fresh-made cream cheeses are excellent. The store is always very crowded, though, and getting your bagels can be a little chaotic, so have a little patience if you go.
Really great bagel place. I love it here - especially their bagels with oats and raisins. Their chicken salad and egg salad is great. It's often crowded, but they move quickly and have never gotten my order wrong. The only thing is that there isn't enough seating sometimes. I wish they would open another location so this one is less crowded!
