“Portions are just right and this restaurant is more appropriate for people looking for a nice, romantic, 3-5 course dinner rather than a cheap, "quick-fix.”
Watch Your Check. This place went out of business for a reason: it had highly deceptive ways of figuring the bill. On more than one occasion a family member would have the lunch special and I would order off the a la carte menu. The bill would arrive showing diners eating off the a la carte menu: the bill would be inflated by about $20. This happened more than once.
bad place. this restaurant is expensive eventhogh the food is not good. its test like they heated it from few days ago. the pasta is frozen, cappuchino is terreble wich cost $4.95. all the bar drinks are expensive and they serve in a small glass. soft drinks cost $2.50 also they serve in small glass full of ice so its even no soda just iced they always ovecharge costumers and have tax very high about 9% its not legal
AWFUL FOOD AND SERVICE- DON'T EVER EXPECT TO SEE YOUR DELIVERY.
I ordered dinner at 8:45 on a Thursday night... and didn't see it before 3 angry phone calls, a man hanging up on me- and 10:30pm. It wasn't at all worth the wait, ice cold, reheating could not save this awful food. The man on the phone was rude, kept telling me it was on the way one second, and then to come pick it up myself the next. The mozzarella sticks had no cheese inside! I didn't even know that was possible!
SKIP THIS PLACE... AWFUL
Avoid like the plague!!.
The food is sometimes acceptable (I've had better) but pricey. Sometimes the waiters are rude and unprofessional.
The manager strikes me as unprofessional.
Excellent Food, very fresh and tasty!. The restaurant has a very cozy romantic atmosphere, the food and service are great ,the food is well worth the money, they also have the Mon and Wed dinner specials which includes the appetizers and entree with glass of wine and desert for $19.95 plus there buffet on Tues and Sundays for $16.95 eat all you can, so that is a great deal, I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends they also accomodate party reservations and again the food is delicious!!
Romantic but a bit pricey for the type of food served......
The restaurtant provided a romantic ambiance featuring a pianist, dimmed lighting and a clean environment. The waiters were attentive to your needs (pouring wine, making sure you had water, asking how the food was, etc.).
The restaurant probably would've gotten a 10 if not for the pricey menu. The restaurant is located close to movie theatres and a shopping center on Ausin street, so I guess the prices have to be a bit high in order to avoid overcrowding.
Portions are just right and this restaurant is more appropriate for people looking for a nice, romantic, 3-5 course dinner rather than a cheap, "quick-fix."
The buffet on Tuesday evening and the Sunday brunch are very good with a lot of options to choose from. You get to choose wine, your main course, coffee and dessert for around $16.
Overall, a good choice.
Don't go.
What a terrible place, the food is terrilbe with small portions and high prices. I live in Forest Hills and i have been to other places in the area and majority of them are pricey but at least they have normal size portions, not kiddie meal for price of Little Italy. Overall food tastes like it was prepared days ago, and was microvawed to be reheated. I have had better Italian out of frozen dinners, and I have been to Italy what a joke.
Let me make a point about the service, it happened that every family around us was spanish speaking and so was the waiter, but we are not. Not only that the waiter totally ignored us, brought us a very questionable looking bread basket while others got a very fresh looking one with extra garlic bread, he never asked if we need any water, i wanted unsweetened iced tea but instead he brought snaple with out even clarifying, then once he brought back our check with receipt for us to sign he just dropped infront of me instead of my husbad who gave him a card. I could have called a manager but did not feel like making a thing instead we left a small tip and here i am typig bad review.
There much nicer places in forest hills but skip on this one
Expensive. Before La Terraza, it used to be Tutta Pasta where the service was horrible but the prices were great for the location. The restaurant has a nice outside area where you may have dinner or just go in for a drink on a nice summer evening. It is also dedicated to it's customers but with the economy not doing well, this restaurant makes it difficult for couples and families to visit. This restaurant has good food and great drinks but the prices are for a 4 star restaurant. The restaurant is in Queens with much competition in the area such as Pasta D'Giorno and Porto fino where prices are not as high and have remainded the same for quite awhile.
A little Pricey. The food wasnt bad and the service was fast but not as friendly as it could have been. The location is ideal being close to movies and other things to do. If you are planning a small dinner with family or looking for a place to eat when not going on your first date, it's not a bad choice. Take your credit card because it is a little on the Pricey side for the food and service that you get
