Talia's steakhouse on Upper West Side is an excellent restaurant is not to be missed. My girlfriend and I just had a chicken vegetable soup to die for.
We then had a tender, delicious butchers cut steak and a dish of chicken marsala, with a light very tasty marsala wine sauce. The portions were large.
Service was attentive and comfortable and ambience was romantic.
I do not want to forget the absolutely heavenly chocolate dome dessert we shared.
Celebrated my father's 70th birthday at Talia's last night. Talia's has always been my favorite kosher restaurant on the Upper West Side for their live music nights and great food. Love their Moroccan salmon and I knew my dad would, too. He didn't stop raving about it. We all had a great time and will be back again for our next birthday celebration.
My wife and I were just going for a walk on the UWS when we strolled into Talia's. We heard some really great live, acoustic guitar music coming from the restaurant and decided to check it out, We sat outside,at the side walk caffe area.ordered appetizers (the thai beef salad was SO yummy) and some wine, and had a relaxing tuesday evening in new york.the truth of the matter is that I didn't know that there are kosher restaurants in manhattan offering cool rock&roll live music while you dine the music, atmosphere, and the food are all reasons to go back again!
Took my son out to Talia's Steakhouse in Manhattan for his birthday last week. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't make use of their outdoor cafe, but the inside is definitely nice enough, with roses and candles on the tables. Our waitress was really sweet and great, and the wait for the food wasn't too bad, considering the packed restaurant. We all agreed our food was delicious. Had myself the Buffalo Wings and the chicken burger. It was one of my better NYC kosher restaurants experiences. I'll definitely be back another time.
Was really craving a burger earlier today, so as I was walking down Amsterdam Avenue, I passed by Talia's and saw a server bringing out two huge burgers to a couple of customers sitting at their sidewalk cafe. They looked really good so I had to take a seat there. My burger came out pretty fast and was just as good as I had hoped. With sweet potato fries, it was a perfect spontaneous lunch. I'll be back again next time I find myself on the Upper West Side for some steak!
My parents who keep kosher flew in the other day, so I had to find a nice Manhattan kosher restaurant to take them out. A friend recommended Talia’s Steakhouse, so I figured it was worth a shot. I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. We started off with delicious lamb lollipops and glasses of Sangria. Next was some amazing duck for me and prime rib for my parents. They loved their meal and thanked me for taking them out to such a great restaurant. I’ll have to check out Talia’s again sometime to try more of their menu. Highly recommended.
I've been to Talia's Steakhouse a few times now and I can safely say it's my favorite kosher restaurant in NYC. Not only is the food and service excellent, but they always have great deals going on with Groupon, Jdeal, Livingsocial, etc. and it's so great to have a kosher restaurant in Manhattan with live music. Late Saturday nights are always a good time. My family and I are looking forward to joining Talia's for their Passover Seders coming up soon!
There aren't enough kosher restaurants open late on Saturday nights. Talia's is open until 4AM every Saturday night and is definitely my favorite place to be with the munchies after a long night of partying with my friends downtown. There's nothing like heading back home to the Upper West Side and finding a kosher place to sit down and have a great burger. And they just started serving some early morning breakfast dishes as well for us late night stragglers. Plus, they've got a full bar if you need that little extra nightcap.
My husband told me how great the steak was at Talia's when he went for a business meeting, so I agreed to have our next date there. I was truly impressed: the steak - yes, delicious, the service - very nice, kind staff, for helpful, very caring (gave them a big tip;)). The live music was also a lot of fun. I am definitely looking forward to visiting there again soon.
I randomly wandered into Talia's last Wednesday night just looking for a place to get a beer, but the smell of all the food coming off the tables near the bar made my stomach rumble and I decided to order a burger. The patty was huge, topped with fresh vegetables and cooked just the way I liked it. It was simply a great, juicy burger, with great homemade fries on the side. I'm gonna be back with my girlfriend soon and try out some of their steaks, which all looked really great from where I was sitting.
