Passed by with friends for a birthday party (on our way to another bar...and never made it), went in and finished the birthday bash there! After being there approx. 20 minutes we met the owner who hung out with us and introduced us to many of the people in the bar, of course creating a larger party!!! Crowd is very attractive, Chelsea to yuppy, and late 20's to mid 30's. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff, awesome drinks (unique)...the bartenders were a blast and the dj fantastic. Thanks for a great evening! Your bar is now a hot spot for us all!
I was shocked – Wanting to try something new I dragged my friends all the way over to a rather desolate part of the city for Brite's happy hour. At $12 a drink for a run-of-the-mill place with practically no one there on a Fri., we weren't sure how long we'd stay. We got our happy hour 2-4-1 deal. The bartender never told us we had to redeem the second by 7:30, so we were shocked when we went up there at 7:40 and were told by the OWNER we couldn't get the drinks we thought we had coming. He said that it was common practice. I've been to tons of bars in this city, and have never encountered this "policy." I reminded him that his website said happy hour was till 8, he said it'd cost thousands to change. It'd cost less to just give us our drinks.
Unusual and pretty – I am not a party person, and tend to dislike crowded, loud, obnoxious bars, and this was none of that. Very clean, cute setting, friendly bartenders, and not crowded at all on Thursday night from 8-11! The cocktails and drinks were good and moderately priced for New York $8-$10. Also, the dj was playing good music for 20-30 somethings that was not too loud- The Cure, The Smiths, Violent Femmes. Overall, pretty relaxed and pleasant. Unusual for a bar.
I love this place! – I've been several times and had a great time with the staff and friends. I love that they do a happy hour! Try the Fother Mucker!!! Yummy cocktail.
Supercool guy do you ever go out? You've only reviewed on bar... this one! Get a grip. Brite bar is also a cool place to get a buzz going cheaply before going to CROBAR!!!
Great Bar – A great place to relax, meet up with friends and have some great mixed drinks. There's always a good mix of people and you can easily spend your entire evening sitting at the very well designed bar - chatting the night away.
Brite this way – Brite Bar was a really nice bar to spend time in after work with friends. There's an extensive drink list, the owners were charming and the interior design was top notch. Loved the super cool lighting over the bar!
Brite Bar is Shining !! – The Brite Bar has got to be Manhattans best kept secret, this summer. This bar is one place that can be used for both an after work meeting place with colleagues or a favorite place to bring your friends. The staff and the owners go out of their way to make your first time to the bar, feel as if you have always been there. I highly recommend that everyone check out The Brite Bar and their extensive list of cosmopolitans.
Cool Bar... – Interesting space. Love the lights over the bar! Bartenders were very nice no attitude at all! We tried to go next door but couldn't take the attitude so we tried Brite and were glad we did. I just hope it doesn't get too packed. Its a nice neighborhood place.
Try it – Brite has a clean and bright look. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are tasty. I would recommend visiting them soon--before word gets out.
