BE AWARE! CRIMINAL MANAGEMENT AND MEDIOCRE FOOD. Attention Jewish customers from upper east side, west side and midtown. be very careful the owner originally from southern Italy by the name of Tony,

(also the owner of Amarone Restaurant) is a anti semitic, racist, anti jew,

with a bigotry behavior toward Jews! This man is a fake, incompetent,

illiterate and doesn't even speak proper English with a heavy Italian southern accent.

Tony the owner of Azalea restaurant is a pathetic Albanian lover, he hates his own people from Italy.

Please did you realize that there aren't Italian employees? no Italian waiter,

no Italian busboy, no Italian manager and NO Italian Chief?

And there worst of all that the employees working at the restaurants are illegal alien with criminal record from Romania, Albania, Mexico and Equador! the kitchen staff is not even Iitalian and the food is prepared and cooked by illegal alien from mexico and the chef by the name of Alex is not even Italian but an immigrant from Mexico!

ATTENTION: The labor department is investigating the owners of both restaurants,

Azalea restaurant and Amarone for violating Federal and state Law by illegally

confiscating all the wanters tips and refusing to pay all his employees!

It is also investigated for violating labor law by underpaying his employees and not even meeting the minimum wage required by law. the food portions are extremely small, overpriced and it takes for ever to come out from the kitchen! do yourself a favor save your money and go eat somewhere else!

The food sucks, very poor taste, old frozen fish, small portions and overpriced!!

Amazing Food! Incredible Service! Beautiful Experience!. Every time I've dined at Azalea, the food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is just perfect in the middle of Times Square area and the wine selection is unique and vast. Beautiful woodwork throughout the restaurant makes it warm and supremely relaxing. Thank you Azalea for a perfect experience!

I simply loved that place!. I was looking for a good Italian place to have dinner after evening Broadway show, I found Azalea nearby. Me and my boyfriend were greeted by extremaly nice hostess and seated in nice corner table. Very unique atmosphere, excellent food and outstanding servise made me feel that I had found the best piece of Italy in NYC!! I will definitelly recommend this place to my friends!

Great After Theatre Dinner. Went to Azalea due to good reviews on Citysearch. Was not disappointed in the least. Every dish was delicious and the staff was extremely courteous.

Do try the gorgonzola with pear appetizer which was yummy.

No complaints at all would recommend to anyone.

Gem of the theater district . . .. Forget the Amalfi coast! Hop in a cab to Azalea. The outdoor dining was so pleasant that we almost passed up our tickets for Wicked. Luckily, the theater is right next door so we went back for dessert and cocktails after the show. Nico, the manager is so welcoming-he makes you feel as though your dining in his own home. The rest of the staff are as delicious as the dishes that they serve. I almost didn't want to write this review in fear that everyone will discover this little slice of heaven. Highly recommended! No matter how busy they are (especially pre-theater) they make you feel like your a special guest.

Slow and unfriendly service, Rude manager, Food barely makes it ok. Azalea was a horrible experience. I went there on a Saturday with a party of four and we swore never to set foot in that restaurant again. To begin with the service was slow and ungraceful. We asked for extra butter for our bread which looked like it was baked two weeks before and the waiter rolled his eyes and looked like he wanted us out of there. We ordered the salmon and it was raw in the middle. Pastas were just ok but not worth the price. When we complained to the manager Nico he was rude and unfriendly and could hardly be understood in his broken english. Fortunately the city offers many good italian restaurants so forget about this one. What a disaster!

Azalea. Someone at our hotel told us to skip "Little Italy" and try Azalea if we want good authentic Italian food. My husband and I both love Italian and this is some of the most authentic and delicious that we've had. Pasta was excellent! Lovely restaurant, nice atmosphere. Excellent service and the staff really know their stuff. Went twice when we were in town and each time couldn't fault the food or wait staff.

Nice, but no big deal. My boyfriend and I took some newlywed friends of mine visiting from Florida to Azalea. Based on its great reviews and website, we decided to give it a try. We made reservations, though when we arrived there was only one other occupied table in the entire restaurant ( 7:30 pm on a weekend). We were seated promptly and the waiter was attentive. The entrees seemed appealing based on the menu descriptions, though the food was not very impressive. I ordered the lobster ravioli which although was edible, I felt that it was just "okay." My dining companions were equally unimpressed with their meals. The restaurant ambience is calming and pleasing, the service was good, though I don't think I'd be missing anything if I never have another meal at Azalea.

A Memorable Experience!. It has been a long time since I have encountered such a friendly and accommodating staff. Nico, the manager was so hospitable and welcoming and showed us immediately to our table. The menu was just perfect for what we were looking for with some traditional italian options and some interesting ones as well. The food was delicious--chicken parmigiana was not even on the menu, yet the chef prepared it for my daughter as it was her birthday! The service was efficient and timely and needed no prompting. We had such a great dining experience at Azalea thanks to the wait staff and especially Nico!

Relaxed atmosphere for first-rate Italian cooking.. After a considerable shakeown, Azalea has learned to provide a dining experience equal to the quality of its cooking. Pasta with wild boar is it's signature dish, but the menu has lots of other first-rate items. Ditto the wine list. It's a theater-distract palace, but once the pre-theater crowd clears out, things are amiable and relaxed without much tourist rowdiness. and plenty of time to linger over after dinner drinks.
