Great hotel. Overall it was a great stay! The staff was welcoming and friendly, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable. I would def recommend this place to anyone and am considering going back.

Great Location. Greeted immediately by welcoming staff. The concierge, porters, etc. were friendly and very helpful. While the lobby is beautiful, the stairs make it a bit taxing to get your bags down to the elevator level. The rooms were beautifully decorated, albeit on the small side. Never checked out the hotel bar but there were always people there when we walked by.

Great Hotel for location and price!. I went to the Carlton for two nights and I am happy to say that I would consider going back. First of all, we were greated with a room upgrade, and the woman at the front desk wrote down her name to call her if anythign was wrong. The hotel has been rennovated, so it is nice and clean. The restaurant is really really great, both as atmosphere, as well as for the food that is offering. Overall, the service was amazing. There were a couple of glitches, but the manager made sure to call and apologize. Highly recomended; I have been to many hotels in NY and while this is not the best I have been at, it is certainly one that I would consider going back to.
