Great Spot. Great group of people there, both the customers and the staff. My husband and I went there to see PinkNoise band and fell in love with the place as well. Drinks are very affordable and taste great. We will be back for the food (smelled great) but Im on a diet right now and cant eat that late at night. .... bummer.....BUT WE WILL BE BACK (my hubby is irish and we were shopping around for a bar) .....WE THINK WE FOUND THE TREASURE IN THE BRONX!
Great Restaurant and Bar. great food til 2 am and drinks til 4 .... this place is great espeically if you dont have to drive afterwards. Bartender Sean is a great guy make sure you go see him if your in there
Great bar. This was the 1st bar that my girlfriend and I stopped in when we were in Woodlawn. This is a huge clean space with a rectangular bar in the middle and flat screens located throughout the bar, curiously none had baseball on on a Sunday afternoon. The beers are reasonably priced ($3.50 for a bottle of Coors Light) and there was a buyback on the 5th round. The food is very good and relatively inexpensive. The bartenders, like the neighborhood are authentic Irish. There is a jukebox although it wasn't turned on while we were there so not sure if it works. Bathrooms are in good condition.
This place is great!. Most of the people reading these reviews aren't going to come out to the Bronx to the Rambling House and what a shame! Set in the heart of a predominantly Irish nieghborhood, this restaurant is a lot of fun and the food is fantastic! Too far you think? Hop on the metronorth in Grand central and get off at Woodlawn, walk two blocks to Katonah and you are there! The space is huge and they commonly host live bands on the weekends. I had a seafood over angel hair the other weekend and I couldn't even finish it! Portions are huge, food is well made, value is awesome! Come out to the Bronx -- you might have to pay under $200 for two people to have 6 drinks, an appetizer, two entrees, with a tip that will make your server smile ;) Oh the horror!
