“classy Capital One with nice staff”
Bogus Company. I received a 3,500 from a Supreme Building Messenger, Inc. The check is from check Capital One Bank from Hauppauge, NY, for Mystery shopping jobs. Want to know if anyone has heard of the Bank and the Company and want to know if they are legit before I try and cash the check.
NFB .............. Noth Fork Blues.
I have been with this branch about 4+ years now. I recently deposited a check from my old landlord/roommate (rent deposit if this matters) but unfortunately it bounced. Not only did they charge the person who wrote the check a bounced fee (understandable) but they also charged $180 me for about 4 checks written against this 'bounced' check too. Bastards! I had no idea it was going to bounce.
I'm not sure if ALL banks in America do this but I am used to the UK banks where only the person w check royally screwed NOT the payee too. WTF did I do wrong?
Rich 'the Brit'
p.s. If anyone can recommend any other banks please let me know. I'm sick of NFB :(
Terrible Service, hidden fees--choose another bank.
Don't use to North Fork Bank. They tried to charge me $15 Undeliverable Mail Fees even though I was receiving all of my statements and bank correspondence. Yes, that's right. $15 each month for mail that they said wasn't being delivered, even though I was receiving all of my mail from them. When I called to correct them, they snottily lectured me and acted like I was the one at fault. Gotta love being yelled at by customer service when it's their mistake.
Long story short, consistently poor service, hidden fees, and a whole lot of inconvenience. This was the last straw after years of poor service.
