Two weeks ago, I made a booking there for an event. I dealt with Joe, who said the booking was secure and we were all set and ready. I even confirmed with him yesterday. Yet today, one day before my event, he called me to say he is cancelling our booking because he found another party that he thinks will make him more money. This is bad business, to simply cancel our booking like this, just one day before our event. This means Joe's word is no good and he cannot be trusted. Stay away from this place, unless you'd like to have a similar experience. Please share this with anyone else you know who plans events.

Pros: None

Cons: You cannot trust them with a booking. They cancel the day before if they can make more money with someone else!

To keep a long story short, this bartender clearly seems to enjoy treating non-white customers and females as lower beings. In fact, after our visit (a group of guys and girls, some white, some black and Indian) it seems as if making his political statement by purposely bringing the drinks for the non-whites and women MUCH later than for the rest of us was more important to him than keeping the doors open at his bar! This man clearly has some personal issues going on. I know that New York is not the friendliest and most open-minded town on earth but I don't remember ever seeing customers being treated like this anywhere. Maybe the closest thing I've seen to the old south attitude.

Pros: Nothing. There are a dime and dozen better bars in the neighborhood

Cons: Bartender goes out of his way to mistreat customers
