COCKROACH IN FOOD
by simmikitty at Citysearch
DONT EVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! IT IS TOTALLY UNHYGIENIC!
I had went there one time to purchase some indian food, and when I got home and opened up my food, a cockroach came crawling out of my plate! it was soooooo disgusting I almost threw up and when I called the restaurant to complain, the owner NITU Singh! He had cursed me off saying horrible things, I was speaking to him politely not cursing or anything and in turn he started yelling at me and cursing at me calling me horrible things. I told him I'm going to bring the food back to his restaurant to show him, he starts threatening me that if I come watch what he would do to me! So be careful DO NOT EAT THERE! I had to file a complaint through the police and better business bureau against this guy and his restaurant, be careful the managers or whoever he is, is a total psychopath and their food has insects like cockroach roaming in it.
- Pros: none
- Cons: everything

I received food with small (stones) kakari. Asked them to replace them. First they denied and then............
Oh my god they are sucks.............
- Cons: service and staff???????????
Cheap, fast and tasty
by TardyKat at Citysearch
Had lunch here one day. Very affordable for what you get. Ordered the mango lassi and the chicken tikka biryani. The mango lassi is a lot less viscous than versions I've tried elsewhere but it is still very good. The flavor is less yoghurt more mango. The chicken tikka biryani portion was very generous and full of flavor. Being a lunch-counter-style set up, service was quick. If you came during the lunch time crunch, the lack of seating area is a problem. Thankfully, people eat fast and seats can usually be found relatively quickly.
- Pros: Fast service, authentic tastes
- Cons: Lack of seats
Authentic & affordable!

Ladies & gentlemen, this is by far -one of the best "authentic" Indian food that I've had in NYC! If you don't like long cafeteria-style lines or a packed house w/ limited seating, then stop-by AFTER 1:30pm because this place is a ZOO during peak lunch hours! I usually go after 2pm and can comfortable enjoy my usual Tikki Masala, rice & naan + fresh green peppers! Yummy!!
- Pros: Quick, delicious & cheap
- Cons: Gets really packed
terrible delivery
by wherewatulike at Citysearch
i'm indian.......... food here is half decent, but their delivery is absolutely terrible. i normally order from here every week, and always end up waiting over an hour for the food to arrive (they r only a few blocks away!!)
and they didnt even apologise!!! DO NOT GET DELIVERY!!!
- Pros: half decent food
- Cons: terrible service..... not worth getting just for that
