A futuristic fast-food counter with a seat-yourself dining nook attracts the local lunch crowd. At night, typical Meatpacking District party-goers traipse through the front en route to the lounge in back, where they drink, dance, or relax on lipstick-red banquettes and pick at plates of mini burgers slathered in Russian dressing. Know Before You Go:: The same food costs nearly twice as much in the back lounge as at the counter in front, but the latter is just for popping in, while the back is for real partying.
What to Drink:: The brief wine-by-the-glass list ($8-$12) includes full-bodied favorites, like Nero d'Avola from southern Italy and Grenache-Syrah from France. Cocktails--including the fruity "Pink Panty Pull-down"--embody the spirit of the place.
Know Before You Go:: The back lounge is a good location for private parties. Call ahead to plan yours, or to ensure one isn't going on when you're planning to visit.

The burgers are picture perfect and taste like it!!!

Ever see a picure of a burger in a magazine and your mouth starts to water as you think... mmmm that looks so good? Most of the time what you get doesnt look anything like whats in the picture --- not with this place!!

Their burgers look exactly like the pictures -- theyre delicious looking AND they taste awesome.

One of the best burger joints in NY hands down.

Gone Down Hill

Tonight was a Weds night and the place had very few people. I live in the neighborhood and really like the owner and his family which I see all the time in the neighborhood.

Of course most of the time when something is great one doesn't tend to praise it and maybe I should have back when the place was at it's peak in service.

That said tonight they hit an all time low. No patrons. I just wanted a milk shake and some of those delish fries.

When I got home and looked in the container it was ridiculous. As if the guy putting the fries in the box couldn't be bothered to care.

Now I could have gone back and looked like a greedy ass asking why and for more but instead I think I am gonna share with you all this lack of care and service to bother to fill a container with fries that cost basically 4.00 by the way.

I wonder how many more patrons who really like their fries and burgers they have run off with this kind of who gives a crap attitude and service. Maybe I'm misguided and people just go there to drink in the back and the food is secondary? Who knows, but sadly they lost my coin and patronage tonight. Will never go again as it's not worth the money or the bother.

YUMMY BURGERS!

I'm shocked to see so many bad reviews of POP Burger... I go all the time and have never been dissappointed! The food is great, and the atmosphere is awesome! They've got tons of topping to choose from for the burgers, and their fries are delicious too. I had a great time!

Although after reading some of these horrible ratings, I decided to test the waters and give Pop Burger a chance. All-in-all I had a great time. It was a Saturday night around 8PM a few weeks ago and the back seating area (lounge?) seemed lively and fun so we decided to continue back! Although my friend and I sat ourselves (no hostess?), the waitress was accomodating and friendly. The restaurant looked very clean and I like the "wife beater" uniform look. It's not too underplayed and not too formal. The food came out fast and hot and the french fries are best with their "special pop sauce". The drink menu is larger than the food menu, which for me, is a plus! The bartenders should hold off on some of the juice - I had 2 of the martinis and they were on the weaker side. Keep it up Pop Burger, I will be back!
