Editorial Review for Pop Burger – by Dana Bowen
The Scene
A futuristic fast-food counter, with a seat-yourself dining nook, attracts local lunchers for quick stops during the day. But at night, heavily accessorized fashion types traipse through the front room en route to the alter-ego lounge, where groups sip pricey martinis on lipstick-red banquettes set behind low, scratched-mirror tables; others shoot pool or chat at the ultramodern bar. Loud beats and artfully askew movie projections complete the vibe. The waitstaff can be hard to track down and uninformed about the menu.
The Food
The fast-food menu is tiny. Two juicy mini burgers are slathered with Russian dressing, cheese and tomatoes on a crusty brioche. The hot-dog duo and super-thick milk shakes stand out, but fries come oily and onion rings heavy on the batter. Lounge offerings are passable, with too-greasy shrimp rolls accompanied by sesame-scented dip and a lobster club featuring citrus-zested mayo.

Insider Tips
Save MoneyOrder up front: Reasonable prices at the counter nearly double for the same food in the lounge.
What to DrinkThe brief wine-by-the-glass list ($8-$12) includes full-bodied favorites, like Nero d'Avola from southern Italy and Grenache-Syrah from France. Cocktails--including the fruity "Pink Panty Pull-down"--embody the spirit of the place.
Know Before You GoThe back lounge is a good location for private parties. Call ahead to plan yours, or to ensure one isn't going on when you're planning to visit.

I WOULD NOT EVEN RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY (if i had any). I was traumatized on how vulgar/foul was the service in this place & how high-priced this disgusting food was. i was celebrating a friends 30th birthday, my friend order a plain pop hamburgers w/ no cheese ( 3 high-priced miniature burgers for $15.00, smaller than white castles burgers) the order was wrong; not once, but twice. The waitress refused to exchange or remove the order from the bill & charged us 18% percent group service fee. We all ordered separately & 1 order included in the bill was from a couple we met @ the venue. We had a new waitress & she refused to separate the bills. We finally spoke W/ a manager, which covered the credit for the hamburger, separated the bill, but divided the 18% service charge to each bill. The couple we met handed the bills total w/out the service fee. The waitress got upset & exchange words w/ the couple & hell broke loose. The waitress bluntly said "if you guys did not want to F*#@ pay a service charge you should had order from Mcdonald" ( no lie! i witness it myself) they were upset & left w/out paying the bill. We ignore the situation paid our bills. to finalized the story, we had a cake for my friend , we asked for a knife to cut the cake (which we never received), but what we did received was a bill of $30.00 for the knife (kid me not! they where charging us for the knife lol).. So, if you want a night of wrong orders, insults & high-priced food w/ terrible service POP BURGER is highly recommended... Enjoy
Pros: Absolutly nothing
Cons: horroble food & service
