If you like changes to your bill, eat here. My husband ordered a lunch special which, for $14, includes a soup or salad, a sandwich, unlimited soft drinks and a coffee or tea.

I ordered a waffle with a side of fruit. My side of fruit for $2.50 extra,as stated on the menu, came as ONE sliced strawberry, and half a sliced kiwi. There was also a hair in it, so I discreetly called the waiter over, pointed to it w/o saying anything, and asked for a new one, to not make a scene in front of other customers.

My husband ordered an iced tea with his meal, which is supposed to be unlimited, and coincidentally, did not get his iced tea until he reminded the waiter to bring it well into his meal. I guess by 'forgetting' to bring the drink out limits your ability to get 'unlimited' drinks.

The service was very slow, there were three other tables in the entire restaurant filled with two waiters working and two bus boys, so I do not know what took so long.

When the check came, I was charged $3 for my side of fruit with the hair in it. My husband asked the waiter to double check the menu as the menu states $2.50. We would not normally do this but there was a hair in my ridiculously small portion of fruit and we felt to overcharge us amplified the problem.

The waiter returns, having deducted 50 cents, but adding $3 more to the bill because he said we shared the coffee included with my husbands meal.

I guess you should eat here if you enjoy a management style that takes a minor customer complaint as an excuse for overcharging your credit card with new charges before showing you the updated bill.

Harassed by management as well as wait staff!. I'm incredibly shaken after my experience tonight at The Globe in Larchmont. Three friends and I got together this evening with the hopes of sharing an enjoyable meal and great conversation. Instead, I left the restaurant shocked at the behavior of both the management and wait staff. After an obvious oversight by the management regarding the amount we had left for the tip (there were 2 credit card transactions completed and the tip was split between the two) he approached our table to inquire whether our experience was unsatisfactory. He then went on to berate us as to the amount that we had left for the tip all while we were trying to explain the misunderstanding on his part. He finally realized his mistake and only apologized by saying that he had to look out for his staff. As my friends and I were walking out the door our waitress followed us out and called us "trash." She then quickly retreated back into the restaurant. We confronted her about what was said and she lied to us saying that she had simply told us to, "Have a good night." The proper course of action would have been to fire anyone on staff for speaking to a customer in such a disgraceful way but the waitress was only made to apologize after I insisted. I'm incredibly saddened by my experience tonight and would strongly urge you to consider taking your business elsewhere. The Globe hardly provides the kind of environment that I enjoy when I'm having a meal out with family or friends. I also encourage you to rely this experience to anyone else you may know so as to prevent situations like the one tonight from happening again.
