Butchered my eyebrows

Don't do here, they ruined my eyebrows. It take forever to grow them back. I guess you get what you pay for.

I went in there for a clean up and she ruined the shape of the brow. Don't go there!

So fast, so cheap, SO GOOD!

Okay - first thing's first - if you have "problem" brows or have issues getting the right shape, this is NOT the place for you. This place is for people who like their shape, don't have issues with pain, and just need a clean up on the shape they already have every few weeks. I got my eyebrows done at one of those fancy places that are written up in all the magazines and it was no better than this. I got the exact same result. Why not go to Perfect Shape, where it costs me $7 and 5 minutes?? Just be realistic about the kind of brows you have before you come here, it may be cheap and convenient, and all your friends might be telling you how great threading is, but if you need a new shape or are growing in sparse brows, they don't have the time here to do it "right" for you. This is an in-and-out type place where you sit down and they just GO - this isn't an "okay let's discuss your needs and I'll take 25 minutes just doing your eyebrows" place. Also, I think neither waxing nor threading hurt, but I've had people cry to me after I tell them to go here, telling me that the threading is worse than childbirth - it's all a matter of personal pain threshold.

• Pros: Quick, inexpensive, convenient
• Cons: Very in-and-out, can't really ask for a specific shape.

Nira is a goddess for eyebrows

I've been going to Perfect Shape for a year at least. During that time, I think I've had every woman in the salon thread my eyebrows and I've had good and...not so pleasant experiences but NIRA is an absolute godsend.

Because of incessant plucking, my eyebrows were much too thin and didn't suit the shape of my face at all. Nira is beyond meticulous, always asks me what I want and is very very *very* careful.

I've had strangers stop me on the street and ask me where I get my eyebrows done and I always send them to Nira. Go to her, you will not be sorry!!

• Pros: My threader's meticulousness, kindness and amazing skill
• Cons: Other threaders aren't quite happy when you have a favorite and stick to her

You get what you pay for

Perfect Shape is great if you're looking to have some cheap threading done. But, if you want your eyebrows done really well, go somewhere else. Understandably the employees here are just looking to get as many people in and out of their chair as possible, and there's no incentive to make your brows look good. Some of the women are better than others - I've been a couple times and had experiences from very good to awful. One woman took scissors to my eyebrows and hacked a lot of them off before I even knew what she was going to do! No one will ask what you're looking for, so be specific before they start working on your face.

• Pros: fast, cheap
• Cons: poor quality, no attention to detail, no effort for customer satisfaction
