A shortcut to that road-trip cafe you will never forget. Penelope is one of a kind, I cant put my finger on it, if its the food or if its the staff or the physical atmosphere of the place that makes eating there such a unique experience. Every time I go there I have the same feeling, in the middle of that great road trip of life, every bite of that Grilled Chicken Club, a smile from one of the Penelopee's and suddenly Im transported in to an American Beauty moment.

Great FOOD. This place is like no other in the area.

Great comfortable place always busy and easily the best food option in the area.

We had a blast waiting for a table and met new people outside while waiting to be seated.

Delish!. The only bad thing about this place is that during peak times there is a long wait to be seated. The food is that great! This country kitchen serves the most delicious food..great spinach artichoke dip, a spectacular chicken meatball sandwich, an addicting veggie burger...I can go on and on. And don't forget to order desert! Its way too good o pass up!

Totally a best option!. This is definitely one of my favorite brunch spots. It's literally right next to my house, so I carefully observe the massive line that begins to form every Sunday morning at 10am.

Lovely Penelope's. If you want a neighborhood place where the food is good then go to Penelope's. I am from out of town and go to New York once a year. This past weekend will be the 4th year we've had breakfast at Penelope's ... its a must on our trip. I've only been there for breakfast and there is a long wait..but come on guys, its breakfast! Get up earlier and if you're there by 9:30am a table for 4 took 20 minutes. Totally worth it for the papaya/strawberry and coconut waffles...yummmmm

Not worth the wait. I arrived at Penelope to meet some friends recently, only to be told i had to wait outside the cafe 'until my party arrived'. No problem if the place is full, but it was off-peak and i counted least four available tables.

The arrogance of such a small business eludes me - so 'small town' so mean-spirited. I felt humiliated and silly. Never, never again.

Delicious Comfort Food. Penelope is our neighborhood favorite dining spot. The food is always delicious and the service friendly. Their menu changes by the season, but they've always got their amazing chicken meatball. Their brunch is also a must - definitely worth the wait!

I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant looking for a casual, low-key place to dine.

Reliably good.. My wife and I usually go to Penelope's for breakfast, and we always enjoy our meal. Several times we have brought out of town guest, and they have also enjoyed the spot. Even after a year, one out of towners still comments on how much they liked Penelope's. I am bringing my mom and dad there today, as I know my mom will love the atmosphere, and my dad will love the food.

Ignorant vs Indifferent. I went there with 2 other African American woman. The waitress brought out food and never came back. The waitor who was apparently covering for her was rude and ignored us. We had to ask the busboy to get him for our check. When he did come around, he referred to us as "girls." When he came with the check he through it on the table. To add to insult, we decided the service did not merit a tip and left. He followed us outside and asked why the waitress he was covering did not get a tip, if there was a problem with the service???? I emphatically responded, "YES, it was horrible."

Mac and Cheese Me. Friendly service, quiet and low key. Fair prices and nice beer on tap selection. Best place in neighborhood.
