Overpriced and Not so Good

I have to say, this place has gone down hill. I had the kebobs (for $12!!!!)-it is all grizzle.The owners do not seem to care about repeat customers or their suggestions. They have taken some favorites off the menu and changed others, skimping on food and raising prices. I won't eat there anymore. T

No Bueno on CInco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo - $6 margarita specials - we totally were up to stop after work. After walking through the nice interior, we found ourselves in a cozy garden area busy with patrons. After waiting some time, we ordered the $6 margaritas, and then some burgers. After waiting a full hour, we received the meal and both burgers were cold, with one order entirely wrong.

At this point we complained, but ate what was in front of us in hopes of getting out of there ASAP. THEN -- we get the bill. Not only did he charge us for a side order of something we didn't order, he charged us $1 more for each burger and, somehow the $6 margaritas were now $7. We brought this to their attention and the extra charge and one margarita was taken off the bill. However, the burgers and the margaritas were still priced wrong. We complained again, so our waiter adjusted the price but included the margarita he had initially removed.

The customer service practices at Lounge 47 are simply horrendous. We expect more. It was wrong the way they handled the situation and as a paying customer, I'm happy to bring my business elsewhere.

We wanted to like this quaint cozy quirky joint, but the service just wasn't up to par. We enjoy the lchill atmosphere of LIC, but LIC has to remember we're still New Yorkers.

What a bummer...

Good Food - Bad Attitude

I'm from the July 2nd crowd and I was also the birthday person. Not complaining about the food at all because it was very good. However, my friend went with another group shortly after this date and the complaint was also the service. Bad attitude and do not really know how to accomodate customers. What gets me the most is the fact of how the waitress asked me to giver her a gratuity when I had paid for my guests and they decided to leave her the gratuity after. Obviously she couldn't wait. Its the customers decision whether to leave a tip or not. In this case she certainly didn't deserve it. I've yet to write a letter to the owner and another review in Zagats about this type of behavior. Im actually turned off by the place, however the wasabi develed eggs are the best. Not sure if I would go back...I might..but then I would probably say something from this bad experience.
