Editorial Review for Indian Bread Co – by Paul Adams
In Short
Situated on Bleecker Street's tourist strip, this narrow takeout spot offers a variety of dishes based on Indian bread: "naanwiches"--sandwiches and wraps made with naan, paratha rolls stuffed with potatoes and naan panini, or "naanini." These can be dressed up with a choice of sauces and chutneys. Salads and fruity beverages are offered as well. The room, decorated with pastel walls, attracts a steady stream of NYU students and neighborhood visitors.

Great great place. I've never had Kati Roll but this place was really excellent. I had the saag chicken naanini and I thought it was a portioned very well for 6.50. I also had the Mixed Greens salad which was a steal at 2.50 (with the dollar off special when you order a side with a sandwich). I brought some more stuff back for some coworkers and they loved it too. Highly recommended. The only thing I will say is that it takes a little while for them to make it so be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes, probably more when they are busy. The interior was small but had enough moveable tables to accommodate small and medium-sized groups. The masala chai tea was also pretty good and you get unlimited for 1.50. The service was polite enough as well. Even though I have to ride my bike 30 blocks to get there I know I'll be back if that is any indication of quality.
Pros: Well-priced, Great concept, delicious!
Cons: Takes a bit to get the food.

My friend recommended this place to me. He had stumbled upon it, and had become a regular. I tried it yesterday, and I must say I understand why he swears by it. The service is friendly, and the food is tasty and more than what you'd expect for the amount charged. I tried the aloo kathi roll & paneer naanini, and both were awesome! I especially like the fact that the aloo kathi was well flavored, and not bland. The paneer naanini was something I was having for the first time, and I really liked the concept of a naan sandwich. it had an interesting balance of flavors. Topped my meal with a cuppa of masala chai. Yummmm.....I now know why the regulars hold this place dear to their hearts!
Pros: Food, value, concept
Cons: small space
