I waited three months for an appointment with Dr. Hedley. THREE MONTHS. 3 hours before my appointment I get a call from the office saying that they're cancelling my appointment because the dr. has a patient in labor - Ok, I get it, that's a serious situation. But the next appointment they offered me is ANOTHER MONTH from now. I can't wait four months to see my OB/GYN. I'm getting a new doctor - don't waste your time with this one. I can't believe they're taking new patients when they obviously can't handle them.

Dr. Hedley is a wonderful doctor. She is very nice, sweet, and appears to be non-judgmental. The downside to her, however, is that it TAKES FOREVER to get an appointment with her. I called today (July 16, 2008) to schedule an appointment for a yearly check-up and I was told that nothing would be available until October 1. As a school teacher with extremely limited time during the school year, October 1st is just not a feasible option for me. So as much as it bothers me to switch doctors, especially since I have been seeing Dr. Hedley from the time I was 18 (now I am 24), I feel I have no choice if I want to get checked out before the summer is over. I am going to try Dr. Gabriela Olaru since she has received good reviews on CitySearch. I called today to schedule an appointment and I will be seeing her next week. I will be sure to post how things went with this doctor.
