WARNING!! New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. is NOTHING but a SCAM!!



New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. is the MOST DISHONEST car repair shop in NEW YORK CITY. AVOID this shop AT ALL COSTS!!

This shop will MAKE UP things that DO NOT NEED to be FIXED. I recently needed an inspection sticker. A week or two earlier I had new brakes, rotors, shocks and struts installed and I had the entire car overhauled. Being I had the work done in New Jersey, I could not get a New York State inspection sticker. So, I decided to simply take it to New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. for the sticker. I noticed the "mechanic" shining the light under the undercarriage and it really looked like he was working. I watched while the HEAD SCAMMER was explaining to this older lady why she did not pass inspection and was told this and that needs to be fixed in order to get an inspection sticker. The older lady looked very upset and she let them do the work that was more than likely not needed.



I said to myself, well at least I won't have any problems. SURE ENOUGH the HEAD SCAMMER told me I failed my inspection. I COULD NOT BELIEVE it or HER. They had this paper printed up saying I passed the emissions. BUT, in order to get an inspection sticker, I needed New Rotors and Brake Shoes (mind you I just had them replaced about two weeks beforehand). Then they said there was a leak somewhere and that I needed my steering gear removed and replaced, they even said I needed new seatbelts. IT WAS SHOCKING!



So, I paid the $37 and drove the hell out of there and took it to a shop I knew on 151st. When I took it to 151st, I told them I was there for inspection. I said nothing about failing inspection at New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. nor did I tell them I had anything fixed and or replaced. So, they put my car on the lift and they spent over 45 minutes going over my car, they took my wheels off to inspect them and after they finished, they took a scraper out and removed the old sticker and put on a new one. I past my inspection with flying colors. So, common sense dictated that New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. is NOTHING but a CLIP JOINT.

Also, New 2000 Auto Electric Corp.act like they are doing you some sort of favor. If you decide to take your car to New 2000 Auto



Electric Corp. for inspection (or whatever) and you pass the emissions. But, they failed you for "things" they found. Pay them the $37 and GET OUT of there AS FAST AS YOU CAN and take your car for a second opinion. You will more than likely save a $1000 or more dollars. I notified the better business bureau and as it turns out, I am not the first to complain. Complaint is pending against New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. Read the other negative feedback about New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. Common sense dictates they are CROOKS! They tell their "mechanics" if a car passes emissions, then to look for other reasons to fail you, in the hopes that you will let them SWINDLE YOU for repairs that DO NOT NEED TO BE DONE!

AVOID New 2000 Auto Electric Corp. like the PLAUGE!

two days missed work, don't go here!!!. Took my car in early for inspection so I could get to work. One issue, exhaust leak. It's where the exhaust manifold enters the flex pipe just before the Catalytic converter. I have dual exhaust and had fixed the other flex pipe this summer in NJ they have to cut the old flex pipe out and weld in a new one, 15 minute job tops.

Two days later I still dont have my car. Two days missed work, and I called to complain, they cant get the right part. The price for all this? They quoted $427 including the inspection. That's about $250 too high.

The NJ shop charged me $125 and car was done in 25 minutes.

NEVER EVER will go there again. Anna is rude on top of it all.

In & Out. I brought my car in with two sheared bolts on one of my wheels. they got me in and out of there at a very reasonable price with no sense that they were trying to milk the job. I know enough about cars to know at least three "concerns" they could have had to tripled the rate in parts alone and my ride would still be there.

They got me out of a jam fast and were nice to deal with too.

good price, trustworthy staff. I have a 1998 Honda Odyssey that's never needed repairs before, so when I saw steam coming from under the hood one day, I looked on Citysearch and this place, "New 2000" was close to my home (RSD in W 100's). I called and they said to bring it right in. I left it there, and they called in a couple of hours and told me it was a bad radiator. They said they could replace it for under $290, labor included. The price was reasonable, so I asked them to check on some other noises. They did, same day, and called and said I needed brakes and a new front axle. The entire bill came to $911, and it was all done that day. Then, when I picked up the car, I noticed the "ABS" light stayed on. I went back the next day and told them about it. The receptionist, Anna, knew immediately what the problem was - they put on the wrong axle. They replaced it with the correct one right away, no added charge.

They're good people, they treat the customer well and their prices seem very reasonable. Anna is remarkable. She's like that character played by Marisa Tomei in "My Cousin Vinny" - she knows her car parts!
