Tastes like Eastern Europe!

The bureks here are amazing! They have a location in the city that I haven't been to - yet. I've been to the one in Astoria a couple of times. I've tried the cevapci (little mini beef sausages) and 2 kinds of burek. It's by no means upscale, but there is good home-cooked feel there. They even have burek to go - raw, pop it in the oven for 20-30 minutes, and you've got a meal at home (just make sure you freeze it within 2 days if you don't plan on using it, because they don't use preservatives). The servers are a little off-putting but I think that's more of a language barrier than anything else. It's all about the yummy food from an exotic place. (P.S. Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore. I believe this place is Bosnian or Montenegrin.)

Incredible, cheap food

This place is like going to heaven. The bureks are great. They are basically a multilayered bread with meet, spinach or cheese. To die for and only four dollars. The beef gulash is great and very cheap considering the high quality of the meat. Meatballs are great too. Service is a bit brusque but not rude. They seem kind. Highly recommended.

yummy bureks!

That's all I've had here, and it's about all they sell, but they're fantastic! (My boyfriend thought they were a little greasy though...but not enough to bother me) They're cheap and quick and delicious--a perfect snack!
