Tips for Faux Glow

I just received the most amazing facial from Liz at Faux Glow. She did the Recharge Signature Facial with a lot of extractions but when she was done I thought my face was going to be all red and spotty, but it was actually glowing. She was very gentle and took her time and went over everything that was going on with my face. She suggested some products for me to try and I've been using them. They have made such a huge improvement. I will be back to see her for sure.

Don't Go Here for a Facial.
I went to Liz for a facial here and was incredibly disappointed in the service I experienced. Not only did she keep me waiting for about 25 minutes (even though the place was not busy at all...in fact I think I was the only person there), but she kept leaving the room for incredibly long amounts of time while I laid there waiting, bored out of my mind. She then actually had the nerve to start TALKING ON HER PHONE as she attended to my face.... completely inappropriate. There were pauses in between her actions too which made it seem like she was texting or something. Upon hearing me cough (even though I was already laying down and ready to go), she tried to get me to reschedule my appointment so that I wouldn't get her sick. REALLY? And overall, I wasn't even happy with the facial; she wasn't thorough at ALL with the extractions (in fact, my breakouts were even worse in the days following) and my skin remains just as dry as ever. I don't know if she just wasn't taking me seriously because I had a lifebooker coupon but she was incredibly unprofessional and abrupt....before I had even cleared out my things she was already shuffling the next client into the room with me.
I could have been another potential monthly client, but needless to say, I will not be going back there.

Best Spray Tan I ever got!!!.
This place is amazing! I went to Liz and she did a great job. She took my pale see through skin and gave it a nice healthy glow! I was amazed! The color lasted for 7 days and everyone complimented me on how natural it looked. I was very happy!
The entire staff was so nice! I was so glad I read Citysearch and got the advice to go and try them out.
I will be back very soon! Thanks for making me look great!

Best place in New York City!.
I have very fair skin and it's hard for me to find the right self tanner. Well after trying so many places, I finally found the best place in NYC.
Thier airbrush tan is perfect. I use the light-medium shade and it looks perfect. I go in at least once a month to see Liz and she does an amazing job.
Everyone is so friendly there and I love that they give out Zico water (yummy)!

Great staff & place for men!.
I had a pleasant experience here with everyone and they made me feel very comfortable. I was a little nervous because this was my first time but they explained everything to me over the phone and made sure I prepared correctly.
I went to Jeani and she did an amazing job but the whole staff was really friendly.
I'm so glad I made the choice to go here - my vacation pictures turned out so much better because I have a great tan and I'm not fried like a lobster.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!. Tried multiple times to cancel appointment, called and emailed. No one answered the phones and when I FINALLY got through to someone, it was within the 24 hour period so was charged anyway for appointment that I couldn't make. No offer to reschedule, not flexible at all, very unprofessional. Will never go back.

This client had a invalid loot that she was trying to reuse. She called and got our voicemail and never left any messages but was upset with us because we didn't answer the phone when she was calling. That is what voicemail is for. If you can't be reached...leave a message and we will return your call. She said she tried to email her cancellation - but we have a policy mentioned in our brochures and website that you must call us - they can't be emailed in to us. After getting her VM finally - we returned her call and told her that she did not cancel her appoinment within the 24 hour policy guideline and that she would be charged for her invalid loot. She was just upset that we caught her using an invalid loot payment and not following the cancellation policy. We were very professional talking to her...she was not happy with the outcome.

This is the perfect place for your airbrush tan!.
I tried out Faux Glow before an event I had. I'm so glad I went there. I booked an appointment online with Liz and she took great care of me. Liz went over colors with me and we decided on a medium shade. The color looked perfect with my skin tone and silver dress I bought.
Liz made sure to tell me how to maintain the tan and it lastest about 7 days. It does come off on your workout clothes a little bit because you sweat - but she warned me about this, and it did wash out.
The process is very easy to do - no wonder people get hooked on this! I will be coming back very soon!

ORANGE CIKIR. I went to FG for an airbrush tan before a cruise. After reading all the great reviews on CS I had full confidence that I would achieve great results. I am pale and wanted a tan complexion. I discussed the color shade with LIZ and we decided to go ahead with the medium dark shade. She assured me that I would be an olive complexion NOT orange! After my session, I was careful not to get wet and I made sure I was fully dry before getting dressed. I went to sleep and woke up the next day and showered. When I took a look in the mirror I was horrified!!!! I looked like an orange with splotches EVERYWHERE.... there were areas where I looked like a zebra... my hands looked ridiculous! I was nearly in tears! I called FG later and they told me to take pictures to send to them so the owner can see. I asked for a refund (the least they can do... $86+$20 tip) and LIZ advised me that refunds are not issued. She told me that the owner maybe would be willing to give me a free tan.... Are you kidding??? I am really going to come back to look like a freak show again.... I don't think so! I had to go and spend another $60 to go over the worst areas with Henna tattoos. I spent a lot of money on my much anticipated vacation to walk around feeling self conscious. To say that It put a damper on my vacation is an understatement.... please brides, vacationers, etc. do not go to FG!!!!!!!! You will be sorry!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience but you insisted on being medium dark and Liz tried talking you out of it. We don't like to do med. dark on fair skin clients because it will not look natural and Liz told you that. Liz is one of our Senior Glow Color Specialist's and has been written up in magazines for her work. She was trying to be honest with you but you wanted her to go really dark. Liz told you she couldn't be responsible if it came out too dark.
I'm sorry you said your vacation was ruined - but you said you were going to send us pictures with the tattoos on you and we never received them.
We have been in business for 8 years and if we had clients that came out orange - do you think they would be returning? I don't think so.
Also we have won the Best of Citysearch for 2008 & 2009 - voted by the audience. So you can trust us.
So give us another chance to do a lighter shade on you (no charge). We know you will look good.

Great Glow for my vacation!.
What a great place! I was getting ready for my annual trip to Mexico and I needed some color before I headed down there.
My friends told me about Faux Glow and so I thought I would give them a try. I booked an appointment with Liz and she gave me a very natural looking glow - just perfect for my vacation. Now I can stay under the umbrella and not have to worry about getting sunburned!
I even felt thinner when I left - now that's a miracle. I will be coming back for sure!

Really great natural looking color.
I wanted to look good for the holidays and I heard about Faux Glow through my friend so I thought I would give them a try.
I'm so glad I did, Jeani did my color and it came out great and I got so many compliments from my friends and family members.
I told them I just came back from a quick vacation from Mexico - hey why not...they didn't need to know the real truth.
I will gladly return for another visit and try it out again. It's great for a pick me up during the winter white pasty skin season.
