Rooftop bar s*cks. Yes, there is a rooftop bar but its more narrow than my bathroom and has no views whatsoever. You are surrounded by two brick walls and buildings. There are so many better places in the neighborhood don't waste your money here

Great neighborhood rooftop.
Red Sky has often been a last minute go to in this neighborhood.
When I recently had to plan a last minute gathering with the staff, Julie & Mike went well above and beyond the call to help get this underway, and off to a brilliant success.
If you are looking for a spot to spend a sunny afternoon, head to their roof deck.
Want to catch a Footie match, or any random playoff game - they have plenty of screens for that. In a nice relaxed atmosphere.
One hidden bit of amusement - the restrooms on the second floor have an unusual view back into the bar through large fish tanks.
The neighborhood is certainly changing; as many new boutique hotels, along with their corresponding bars & restaurants open, this offers a nice respite from the $18 cocktails.

My 30th was a blast - thanks to Red Sky. I just had my 30th B-day at Red Sky and I can’t thank all the staff and owners who personally took the time to make sure everything was top notch for my party. I hosted a 3 hour open bar and everyone in my party got wasted and had the best time dancing on the dance floor. I was even allowed to bring in cupcakes and the Dj stopped the music so everyone could sing to me. I will 100% be back to red sky again- the place was GREAT!

Holiday Happiness!.
I haven't been on city search in a while but I thought i would pay compliments where they were due and thank red sky and the staff for hosting an amazing holiday party for my company.
Everything was perfect and we had a blast, the food selections were the right amount and everyone was loving the crunchy chicken fingers and sliders!! The Dj really got things going and everyone in the accounting department was drinking cosmos and on the dance floor ripping it up! The bartenders could not have been nicer to us and where so fast and attentive! Thank you again Red Sky everyone is still talking about what a great party it was and how it was such an awesome way to RING in the holiday season!!

overall awsome time. i was so nervous to have my party here bc of all the negative reviews. but i did anyway- had about 40 people.. open bar for 3 hours which was perfect. we were supposed to be on the roof but it was pouring so we were alll in the lounge with other parties- but there was enough room. the bouncers, bartenders, all staff was awsome!! i will most definatly go back

A lot of whiners on Citysearch. This place rocks. I have no clue what's wrong with half of you. If you're looking to have such a serious private event, than throw it yourself in your own house. I had a birthday thing here a few months back and it was awesome. The service was completely cool, we got hammered, I was taking jagerbombs with the bartender...what's not to like. It's a party place. Keyword, party. If you want some upscale place to have a private party then go elsewhere. This place will give you great time, with cheap drinks, and a drop roofdeck. Stop whining you babies, Red Sky rules.

Awesome happy hour!. I booked a happy hour for a coworker's going away party and had a great time. The VIP room was already booked but the party planner was super helpful and made sure we got everything we needed. The food was great, drink prices more than reasonable, and DJ took almost all our requests. I'd definitely recommend Red Sky for parties and for drinks. The bartenders were extremely nice and the open bar specials were the best I've ever seen in NYC!

Haha.
It's comical of thinking how bad the service was. The manager/owner screamed at me and my friends and seemed ready and willing to fight one of them. Judging by the previous reviews, i shouldn't be surprised that this happened...
Just a snippet of the way this bar operates- the red sky website advertises that there are "tropical fish tanks" on the second floor- the fish were amazing, especially since they were "sleeping" upside down at the top of the tank for the entire time that I was there.
