Horrible. My friends and I were treated horribly. Absolutely terrible place. Not sure why anyone would go here

place is the pitts. the people that write the good reviews are the owner and his friends. i know this from people who work there. they overbook your parties and the bartenders will be drunker then you. therefore aggressive and not caring about your needs. if you wanna fight an employee you should check it out.

RUDEST STAFF- DO NOT HAVE A PARTY HERE. Had a party there. Worst bar experience I've ever had. Anyone who wrote anything positive about this bar clearly did not have any contact with any manager or the owner; they are all extremely rude. Instead of planning a headache of a party, go to another venue. You will not have a good time here.

We had open bar from 10-1. Apparently they booked 3 or 4 other parties with us and stuck us in the same room. There was barely any room to move. When the open bar ended at 1am, a few of my friends tried to come in, but the manager would only let them come in if they paid $45, the full open bar price (even though the open bar was over). Totally irrational.

DO NOT GO HERE.

terrible service, poorly organized birthday arrangements. had my bday party here june 2008 on a friday night. open bar was ok price-wise, $40/person. staff seemed nice on the phone when i organized it with them, but once at the bar they were incredibly rude. had about 50 people, they squished us all on the top floor (which looked nothing like the photos), then by 11pm they kicked us out of the top floor and moved everyone in the party downstairs "so that they could clean". at midnight, they kicked us all out of that floor AGAIN down to the first floor "because they were understaffed" (why that's my problem is beyond me). they never mentioned that the open bar ended at 12, and to have a bar kick 50+ people out is completely ridiculous. the place is cute but not worth 40 bucks. if i could give it a half-star i would. dont waste your time, take your friends somewhere else.

Great place!. I attended an even here, and was very impressed. The space they have, aside from being huge, has a very nice ambiance. Each floor offers a different feel, all impressive without being pretentious. The upstairs lounge is beautiful and inviting. The bar upstairs is pretty big. The staff was very friendly, professional, and attentive. And GREAT bar food! bathrooms are very cool, also. Would love to go back, great for any occassion really, after work drink, group, night out. Prices are average for the area.

BEWARE! DO NOT PLAN YOUR NEXT PARTY/EVENT THERE. As an event planner, I've never seen so much incompetence in a venue. I booked our private party at this bar/lounge over three weeks ago. They turned around 3 days before our event and totally tried to pull a bait and switch. They overbooked the space and no longer could give us the private space they promised. They tried to offer us the opportunity to still come to their bar without the private space. They lied about what they could offer. Also, the attitude of their event coordinator was offputting. They left us 3 days in NYC to find a new place that wasn't booked. They cannot be trusted to have your event done right. Don't bother going!

Be careful to hiring Alexander Belyshev to work for you. Dear owners of Russian restaurants in New York area ,

We are the owners of Hawa Russia, a new Russian restaurant in Columbus, OH. We just wanted to warn you about Alexander Belyshev, who is now a cook looking for a job in New York.

Be careful in hiring him to work for you.

Alexander Belyshev is a criminal person. Police, banks, and people are looking from him. He stole a large amount of money from the restaurant, stole other people?s credit cards, used other people?s checking accounts, and did many horrible things. He is talked over $10,000 dollars worth of international calls for 2 months. He relies on the trust of other people. In Columbus alone, Hawa Russia restaurant and 4 other people opened a criminal case against him. He fled after that, and is now looking for a new job in New York.

Please forward this letter to other owners of restaurants in your area.

Sincerely,

owners of Hawa Russia restaurant in Columbus,Ohio

Boris @ Tatiana Vilenchuk

No stars for the Red Sky. If you want to feel like an unwelcome guest at a drunken frat party maybe you should try this place. Everyone else should be warned that there is NO respect shown for patrons regardless of how much money they are spending or how well they are tipping. Women and people of color seem to be particular targets for bad behavior on the part of not only the slope -shouldered morons that seem to be their regular clientele but the management seems to be the worst offender. Take your money to someplace that will treat you right and don't reward this ridiculous behaviour/

WORST BAR EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I wish I'd read some of these other reviews before deciding to have my party at this bar. Unfortunately, the roof deck was so appealing that I did not take the time to note that others have had terrible experiences here. I made an attempt to reserve the roof deck for my birthday party. When I called to confirm the day before the party, I was told that no reservation had been made and the deck was closed. That was the reason I'd wanted to have the party there in the first place, but okay, I wasn't going to call everybody and change the venue at this point, so I still went there. After we'd been there for about 20 minutes, a small group of people came in for another birthday. The birthday boy turned out to be one of the managers, and at first they were very friendly. Then one of his friends decided to play musical chairs, and went around to my friends demanding that they give up their seats at the bar in order to facilitate the game. Later, he and another man began skipping over the songs that my friends and I had paid to play on the jukebox. I went over and politely requested that they stop doing this, and was then informed that the guy doing it, and the one who'd demanded my friends get out of their seats was the OWNER of the bar. He proceeded to tell me that I hadn't booked a party there (which I had, or at least had ATTEMPTED to by leaving multiple messages and speaking with Marni) and that he was playing music that people wanted to listen to and skipping the songs people did not want to listen to. I informed him that it was my bday and that of the 40 people in the bar at that point, 30 of them were there with me. He told me that 80 people were there for him and did I want to do a head count? (There were, no exaggeration, no more than 45 people maximum in the bar at this point). I couldn't believe the rudeness of this guy, but I now see others have had a similar experience. NEVER GO HERE, the owner nearly ruined my party and was a total a**hole.

THE WORST BAR IN NYC. The worst bar in NYC, hands down. If you want bad service, poor music and a loser owner who has no idea to run a bar, go here.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A WORST BAR IN NYC. IMAGE A OWNER WHO THINKS ITS FUNNY TO INTERRUPT A PARTY OF PEOPLE DANCING WITH THE FRAT BOY MENTALITY OF TURNING OFF THE SONGS IN THE MIDDLE...GET THE PICTURE. DON'T GO HERE, EVER!!!!
