Not as good as it looks

Last year i went for my birthday with a group of like 17-18 people. I called in ahead of time asking about the place and if they would be able to hold such a large group of people. The manager said sure and he seemed pretty enthusiastic. Anyway the pictures online will fool you, the place is extremely tiny personally looks dirty. We were all crammed next to the door. And when night came we weren't allowed to go down to lounge and everything was such a mess. I had a horrible birthday. The food arrived SO LATE! and the portions were small as well i dont know how they charged us but we ended up paying like 900 dollars for food that we barely ate, it was horrible. Please check out the place before setting reservations. The staff was nice i suppose but nothing out of the ordinary. This is my first review on citysearch and trust me i only opened an account to let other users know how bad this place is.
- Pros: decent food, nice staff
- Cons: VERY SMALL, far from public transportation, too expensive

Love this place!!! So glad I found a place in the lower eastside that serves good chinese food. Sesame beef is to die for!!! The decor in the place blew my mind, you totally wouldn't expect it from the outside. Downstairs there is two dance floors with two different DJ's, both spinning good, classic music. This place was great, top to bottom. Highly recommended!!!
- Pros: Food, decor, music

If you've lived in NYC for a while and are disappointed about all the cool joints were disappeared - and you refuse to go to those boring, over-priced clubs or simple dive bars, you should check out this place in east village! I went to China 1 last Friday for the first time and was amazed how well done this 3-space wonderland is. It was beautifully decorated, staff were cool and low-key, DJs spinned old schoole tasty hip hop and disco, and there was a nice crowd swinging. I heard they have different theme every night, definitely check out Friday!
