“The atmosphere is laid back and informal and I liked the minimalist decor and set-up.”
“BUT, what a great sandwich, AMAZING french fries, cheap beer, and an excellent friendly waitress who was sure to ask if I wanted a second drink.”
“If they're going to taut authentic Philly steaks, they need to head back to the motherland and take a refresher course.”
“My biggest complaint is that while I'm a big fan of keeping it simple, the menu could use a little more variation for those that don't want to eat unhealthy.”
“It's a nice place to while away some time.”
“That, coupled with the fact that the drinks are cheap and the people are friendly who work there make this an extraordinary find.”
“The cheap beer and great outside seats enticed us to stay the rest of the afternoon.”
This west village hangout is a fine place to have a beer and watch a football game, but its only true mark of distinction is its excellent cheesesteak. t's good, but like its near neighbor the Corner Bistro, has been coasting on its rep for years.
My Favorite Spot in the City. My friend and I head to Wogies at least once a week, b/c we always have a great time. The food, drinks, and music are among the best I've found in the City & the staff always makes you feel welcome, while being fun, attentive, and considerate. This is the first place where I've ever felt like a regular. Stu also has my vote as the best bartender in the City.
delivery can be spotty. wogies has really good steaks, but the delivery can sometimes take awhile. they don't always give you standbys like ketchup, even when you've ordered fries. they've also overcharged on my credit card, which can be slightly annoying. aside from these kinks, i highly recommend.
The Best!!!!!. This place has hands down the best wings in the city. I grew up in Buffalo and was horrified at the small wings you see around the city. Wogies are big, meaty and have the best sauce! Add an order of waffle fries to your meal and you will think you've died and went to heaven.
Great night out!.
I recently went to this bar with a group of my friends. It was so much fun! The service was great, the beers were cheap, and the french fries were the best I have ever had!!
I think this is one of the best bars I have ever been to in NYC!
LOVE THIS PLACE. Just recently went to Woogies with some friends to catch up and WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! Food was awesome, service was beyond friendly!! Check this place out if you are looking for a laid back, good time. Good food and cheap beers!
The best. Best Cheesesteaks in the city, there is no better place to feed your hangover.
The Eagle Has Landed. Finally a great Philly cheesesteak in New York. Their wings and waffle fries are amazing too. If you are looking for salads or healthy eats, this isn't the place for you. The guys who work the bar are fun and make you feel right at home. Eagles fans that live in NYC now have a great place to watch the games.
Dig it!. The atmosphere is laid back but hip in a subtle way. Cute and friendly staff. The cheesesteakes are delic and so are the french fries!! Beers on tap are fine enough to quench that thirst! The outdoor seating is great for people watching. Great prices too.
yummy. Now, I have to admit that I've only been here once for a late lunch and other than a couple of customers at the bar, the place was empty so I really can't comment on the crowds....BUT, what a great sandwich, AMAZING french fries, cheap beer, and an excellent friendly waitress who was sure to ask if I wanted a second drink. For some reason that doesn't happen very often at lunch. I'll be back.
