“Incredible service”
“The prices are great and the movers where very nice and respectful.”
Worst ever!!!. Horrible!!!. A few of my boxes were STOLLEN off of the truck during my move while they were doing an inventory. They went against regulation and counted the boxes half on the truck and half in my apartment. I heard one of the movers yelling at one of the guys for leaving the truck unattended. I got screwed in the situation because there inventory was acurate because they finished after two theives must have walked off with my boxes. I know this for a fact and I lost some valuable things including some important paperwork. Don't let this happen to you!!…
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER DO NOT USE!!!. Oz Moving has proven to be 100% UNRELIABLE and unhelpful. When I made an appointment to get an estimate on my move, they swore up and down that they pride themselves on never canceling, being on time etc. The night before my appointment, having never received a confirmation call as promised, I took the initiative and called them. I spoke with someone from the call center who rudely took my number and hung up. Imagine my surprise when the next day I get a call informing me that not only was my appointment cancelled but that I had APPARENTLY gotten a very detailed message explaining this the day before. This was not the case. The woman essentially called me a liar, my boyfriend and I both missed work for this non-existent appointment and they had the gall to get pissed because neither of us was able to make a 3pm appointment (because I actually work during the day unlike them.) DO NOT USE OZ MOVING.…
Great reviews but horrible customer service??. I'm the kind of person who researches quite thoroughly before I consider a business deal with any company. I decided to contact Oz Moving for my long distance move due to the amazing reviews that they received from past consumers. The representative assisting me seemed rushed while we were talking on the phone. I ignored that because that's just probably how he talks. However, when my fiance and I decided that their services were not going to meet our needs, I politely thanked him for taking the time to talk to me and wished him a good day. Well, his rushed speaking turned into a snobby and disgusting attitude. He spoke in a demeaning manner (as if I am some dimwit who didn't do her research) and was completely rude. I quietly listened to what he had say - I let him vent about how he's been working in this business for over 20 years, how experienced is, and how any other company I could think of using was inferior compared to Oz. After his venting was complete, I kindly thanked him again and wished him a good day. His response was "click". Here's a tip, Mr. Johnathan: in business, you win some and you lose some, it's not personal...having a disgusting attitude will not attract a customer your way. If you are reading this, I still hope that you have a good day.…
Quick & Painless.
Local move - Bronx to Brooklyn. I've only used movers one other time in NYC, and that was a nightmare.
I went with Oz after 2 recommendations, and I'm glad I did. The crew showed up about 5 minutes early. Overall, I was shocked at the efficiency. Man, they moved fast. My final bill was a bit above the quote, but for reasons that are understandable - extra time for bad traffic between boroughs, and I paid for some packing materials (TV & lamp I forgot about!).
The crew was very nice and helpful, and not one complaint about how much stuff I had, or how some of the small boxes containing only books were a little heavy. Moving is a really big pain in the ass, but if I have to do it again, it'll be with Oz.…
Easy sailing.
I am surprised by the bad reviews I read here as my experience with Oz moving was a much different one.
To start off, it was a pleasure dealing with the representative who estimated my move. I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge she displayed, especially as I was comparing it to other companies who were much less friendly and helpful.
This was my first move after over 10 years and I did a quite extensive market research. Oz was by far the most pleasant to deal with and even though they were a little pricier than others I decided to use them. It was a great decision. My move took place this past Thursday, a few days after the snow storm and I was worried the movers will not arrive on time or at all but they were at my apartment door at 9am sharp, exactly as planned. From that moment on the guys were working their a** off and finished the move as estimated with almost no damages at all. The only issue was that one of the guys slipped on a patch of ice and dropped a night table and one of the legs broke. The next day I spoke to the customer service department and they sent me a carpenter who fixed the table in a way you would never know anything happened.
I commend Oz moving and their customer service. i hope all moving companies in New York City are like that.…
