The name says it all!!. Sushi Excellent is one of the best sushi places there is. I only discovered this place a while ago and have been there almost every week since. Everytime I finish eating I say to myself I have to write a review but never do because I have never written a review for any restaurant before. My boyfriend and I are always trying new dishes and rolls and I can honestly say this restaurant can do no wrong. I am big on sushi and have tried some of the best sushi restaurants in new york but this really is the best one. Not only is the sushi amazing but the waiters are unbelievable. I jokingly call them superwaiters because I have never had such good service before. This place is just perfect in every way. I would recommend making reservations on the weekends and if you are going with a group I would reserve a table upstairs.

Absolutely Great!. I am a big japanese food fan. As the busy doctor I am, I often don't have any time of enjoying good food. However, Sushi Excellent drives me to it every week or eveyr other week. Its like an addiction. The food is incredible. My brother is a professional food taster and rater. He also loves the food at Sushi Excellent as well. The FOOD is incredible. The SERVICE is fantastic; the waiters and managers smile at you while they serve you. To be honest, I think this may be one of the CLEANEST restaurants I've been to, and as you can assume, I am a person who is clean concious. The restaurant has a NICE ATMOSPHERE, quiet with music. EXOTIC with dimmed light. PEFECT for Romantic DATES. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. The sashmi and a la carte is fantastic. Many of the rolls are probably best in New York City. I believe it is absolutely worh the trip to Sushi Excellent no matter where you live in the city. I am sure, if this restaurant was in Manhattan, it would be one of the most successful and best japanese restaurants in the city. Definately.

best sushi on staten island. Go during the week to avoid the crowds. The sushi really is excellent. The salmon sushi is so big it takes two bites to eat and melts in your mouth. The salmon lover's dish is a great deal with 7 pieces of salmon sushi and a spicy salmon roll.

Sushi Excellent is Excellent!. I go to this restaurant quite often because I never had a meal I didn't like! It gets very busy on the weekends, causing the service to be a bit on the slow side, but the staff is usually kind and the food is wonderful...a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. The firehouse rolls are the best!

Awful!!!. I went there on a Sunday night, first thing through the door (after being seated). We were approached by a VERY rude manager/waiter informing us that the restaurant was closing at 10 and basically that we were unwanted business. The sushi was sub-par at best. In fact, for the nearly $100 bill that came promptly after our salad was taken away, was definitely not worth it at all. I would HIGHLY recommend any other sushi restaurant on SI.
