“Drinks were expensive.”
Great Place to go in Queens. I went with a group of my girlfriends on friday and loved the fact that there were a lot of different things to do. The place reminded me of Miami...Who ever designed this place did a great job. The music was very diverse and we danced and drank next to our tables all night. What a nice surprise...I will definitely come back...
AVOID!!!. Been here 3 times...and wow..there is always a fight, and the crowd is very immature. the whole staff seems to have anger problems... never again.....
use to be hot in my book but now its not. This lounge use to be hot to me especially on Thursday nights. Me and my crew would alway come though. Last weekend I decided to bring my Girl there for the first time and the Door Manager wouldn't let her in because she had printed jeans on. so we went back to the car, good thing she had a extra pair. So she put them on, we came back and got in. Then yesterday we went to have fun and the same door manager just looked at her and told her she couldn't come in. we was never disrespectful to him and the way she was dressed there was no reason why we couldn't come in. He is against Aggressive females and more then one of there employed security guards told me that. which i think thats messed up.
avoid on any night.
this place sure lives up to its name PLAYground, this is the worst 21 and up lounge/club i've ever visited, crowd is very young looking, dress code was defintley not enforced, i didnt know hoodys and fitted hats?? and a velvet rope at the door LOL cmon guys, drinks are overpriced, service is horrible, food is ehhhh, and do not come here for the music, i've never heard so much rap in one night, its not a crime to mix up the genres a bit, the bowling alley was cool though,
i defintley will not go back to PLAYground
great customer service. very nice and beautiful I love it so much it is a veryhandsome place to dance hang out meet people nice crowd I really love it
dont waste your time. Our visit to this very pretentious pool hall was very disappointing, velet ropes in Queens, come on, you don't have a manhattan address. The music was horrendous, the food was average and the service was awful.
Hottest Lounge in Queens. Ive been here sooooo many times and the place never gets old. There's always something to do- i never went bowling until i played here because i always thought bowling joints were ugly and boring- Play takes bowling and Pool to the next level. The design of the place is off the hook. Also, they have an indoor smoking room which is rare and a retro pacman arcade. Definately worth going to at least once.
Inexpensive and fun. My group and I arrived at Play around 9 o'clock and we had no trouble getting in, I was wearing jeans and sneakers along with the other fellas in the group. There is a velvet rope, which led me to believe that a certain dress code was in place but the bouncers said we were fine in our attire. Good music, good food, great drinks. Price for a beer was like $5 and food was like $7. Get there early for better selection of pool tables or any activity. There are only like 3 bowling lanes so the wait will be long. Service was fine and overall the place was pretty good! Also, if you want to play a board game or Uno, be advised that all the games are missing game pieces.
Definitely a place to check out.
Going to Queens is a journey, but well worth the trip. I went here when it was a piece of *blank* pool hall. They stepped their game up, renovated as they incorporated a bowling alley and the entire scenery looked more like a club.
But a dress code at a pool hall? thats too much. but if u come in correct you'll have a good time. Suggested with a group rather than a date. but it aint bad that way either.
PLAY IS THE BEST. I GO THERE WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS EVERY THURSDAY FOR LADIES NIGHT. THEY DEFINITELY HAVE SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC AND THE BEST VIBE. THE WAITRESSES ARE ALWAYS NICE AND FUNNY AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF GUYS TO CHILL WITH. VERY LAID BACK AND CHILL. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE LOOKING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME.
