Michael's Place Salon is a great atmosphere. Everyone clearly loves what they are doing. As far as hair, Ebee does a fantastic job. Her coloring is far none better than any other stylist I have ever gone to. It is naturally looking. When she cut her hair she keeps it modern and professional. The next day I received many compliments. I think I do not have to stop trying to find a hair salon!

Worth the Trip. How many city dwellers are willing to travel to Queen's for a haircut? His one does, has and will continue for as long as Michael is standing up and cutting! I have been treated to Michaels skills for 11 years and have come to appreciate what true skill with a scissors can accomplish for my look. Couple the great look with reasonable pricing and as the 5 stars said....Run, don't walk!

WOW! You tried the rest know try the best!. I have gone to many salons in New Jersey, however none compares to Michael's Place. EBEE is an outstanding hairdresser who fix my hair. I had dry and burn hair that was falling off. After a couple of deep treatments and her magcial touch, my hair is fullier and healthier than ever. Micheal and his staff are friendly and treated me well. I am very happy with this salon and don't mine traveling to Bayside. 5 stars. Thank you for caring.

STAY AWAY!. I went to Ebie quite awhile ago but I didn't realize there was a place to write reviews. She was the rudest nastiest stylist I have ever come in contact with in my life. I made appointments with 2 of my friends for a cut and blowdry, well Ebie got confused. She thought it was just a style so she started straightening my hair, then I realized what she was doing and told her that I want my hair cut and she got extremely angry and starting cutting my hair WHILE IT WAS DRY! She did the worst job. Then she thinned it to much and I looked bald and the hair cut was absolutely awful. She was angry with me because she didn't know how to read the appointment book correctly that clearly said I was having a CUT and a style! I wrote a letter to the salon because I was so angry and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but that was over a year ago and I have not gotten a response. Clearly Ebie is incompetent and this salon does NOT care about their clients.

Enza is a hairdresser who LISTENS!!. I recently got my hair colored and cut by Enza at Michael's. Although I found her Italian accent a little difficult to understand at times she was sweet and made sure that she knew exactly what I wanted to have done. I LOVE my hair and had a very pleasant experience at the salon. One note...although the salon says that they take walk-ins they prefer appointments. The staff got a little grouchy when I walked in 30 mins before close on a Friday night. They are open late on Thursday though and you can't beat the prices here!! I paid UNDER $100 for color and cut which is AMAZING anywhere nevermind in NYC! Try it out....you may be pleasantly surprised, I know I was :)
