The Scene
Mind-expanding drugs must be to blame for the madcap style, which feels like a trip back to the untamed days of the East Village. Every surface of the establishment, from tables to toilets, is treated like a canvas and periodically transformed at the whims of the in-house artists. The floors are splatter painted, and the walls are draped with fabric, springy metal coils, dried roses, and a collage of paintings, which include Basquiat and Keith Haring originals.
The Draw
Given its proximity to a church, this wine and beer bar can't get a liquor license but is happy to serve raspberry- or plum-infused sake shot into martini glasses via the I.V. bags hanging from the rafters of the somewhat spooky basement. The regulars--artists who've held their ground in the neighborhood since most hipsters were in junior high--are drawn to the wacky atmosphere, nightly local performers and friendly service.

Great L.E.S. spot. Hot bartenders, cool music and a variety of affordable beers makes for an enjoyable time. Amazing colors through out the floors, walls and ceiling will blow your minds. A great place to meet new and friendly people. I definitely recomend this place to all.

The perfect place to chill with friends, have some drinks and enjoy an enticing atmosphere. Definitely not a wild party but a place to relax, talk and enjoy some good music and dancing.

This place is AMAZING!!! The drinks are so affordable, I almost forget I'm in Manhattan. The staff is so friendly, especially the owner and the gorgeous bartender on Friday night. They also have a sexy shadow dancer that seduces sidewalk pedestrians, luring them into the bar to find out what this place really is all about. Great music, tons of fun. More people should check this place out!

Know Before You Go:
Thursdays and Sundays, if the mood takes them, the female bartender strings up a sheet behind the bar, flips on a spotlight, and puts on a nude shadow dancing show.
The Extras:
Local musicians and performance artists take the tiny stage on the main level almost every night. So head downstairs to chat.
Save Money:
The house cocktails are cheap, but keep in mind that it's hard to catch a buzz off sake spritzers.
