“bit pricey, but wonderful atmosphere.”
“sit and enjoy a cup of joe, cocktail, and/or dessert after dinner before hitting the town, or just stay the whole night and enjoy the lounge music and atmosphere in this quaint spot at the edge of Tribeca.”
“heard the coffee during the day was great, but was weary on eating dinner there.”
“If the person did not like their food they should have said so.”

“It's a great place all times of the day.”
“great food, great atmosphere, great staff.”
“Falafels were decent (slightly overpriced), but the sandwich was amazing.”
“The waiter felt bad about us waiting for so long and gave us a free drink and a free drink coupon for later use.”
Friday night was nothing special. After seeing that this place had a 5-star rating and "good" music, I was quite curious to visit. Well, I met a friend there two Friday nights ago after work between the hours of 8-11pm and nothing special was going on. It seemed like an average place to have drinks and appetizers. I felt that the 4 piece chicken pastries served with a mint dipping sauce we ate were not worth the $12 we spent on them. We did take advantage of the happy hour that ended promptly at 7pm. I was disappointed in the music because I'd read that this place had a nice house music/ecclectic vibe. Not true. Something quite lame and mainstream was playing. But I give this place props for playing "The Wiz" (the black Wizard of Oz from the 70s starring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson) on its two large mid size screen TVs.
mediocre at best. On a saturday night there were very few people there. We ordered apps and dinner, which they brought out at the same time (they put our "extra" food on the table next to us!). I asked that they keep our dinner in the kitchen until we were done w/ apps. Food was mediocre at best. Ravioli tasted like it had been frozen. Wait staff seemed unexperienced. Maybe this place is much better for lunch???? not recommended.
Good place. Good place. Alot of people come there. I am Vietnamese, i came there one time, my freind introduced me and i am very interested about that one. I plan to come back there one time in near furture.
Clean up your bathroom & improve your thai chicken salad. I heard raves about this place, so was looking forward to a great salad. It was OK at best. I think the kitchen filled a bowl with marinated chicken and just dropped some lettuce on top, because it took a sec for me to figure out that I had actually received the *chicken* salad I ordered. When it came time to use the restroom, I was unpleasantly surprised. The trash bin was filled to overflowing and there were tons of paper towels on top of the trash can and falling onto the floor. When was the last time the staff looked in?? Not appetizing at all. I'm going to have to pass on visiting this place in the future.
nice afterwork place to unwind. I been to Mocca Lounge for a few times and loved it! For starters, they play some cool house music (which I love!!!!), very friendly staff, and great food. I enjoyed going there with co-workers, friends, and even for a date. It is truly a nice afterwork experience and nice place to unwind from the busy day.
I am addicted to this place.
Since my law practice is a couple of blocks away, I eat there almost every day (and night...). The food is always fresh and well prepared. The young (and talented) chef they have hangs out in the dining area and is always so pleasant and all smiles. The staff is also generally very friendly and knowledgeable.
Great dinner spot too (for my late nights at the office). Nice variety of International cuisine.
Great Appetizers. I went to Mocca with a friend randomly one night. I heard the coffee during the day was great, but was weary on eating dinner there. We got three appetizers and loved them all, especially the Veggie Quesadillas. The vibe is great and they had a good selection of wine. Very chill spot, great eats!
Pretty good.
Appetizers: the tilapia was excellent and so was the falafel. i'm not usually a fish eater but the fish was fantastic. i recommend both
Salad: ordered a chicken caesar salad for the large portion... wasnt all that worth the money for 14 dollars
Entrees: i ordered the mocca quesadilla and it was pretty good for 11 dollars. the thing looked like a giant burrito though but all in all it was pretty good
Comments: the service was excellent but the lighting in the area is very very dim. i'd bring my girlfriend here for anyone who's looking to have a nice date
Don't miss their new dinner menu!!!. It seems that Mocca Lounge has a new dinner menu and oh boy what a great addition to the old already good menu. They now have pre-fix options where you get for $ 30 an appetizer, a main course and 2 glasses of wine all of your choice. The food is simply delicious and the prices are so right! We enjoyed the pumpkin crusted tilapia with couscous wow! and the surf and turf tapas both a filling course though appetizers. For main we had mango shrimp with coconut rice and the Angus steak with smashed potato. We were in heaven. Besides the food they played a great selections of 80's music and showed "Jackie Brown" a movie I had not seen in ages on the big screen TV's. The service on Friday 2/8/2008 was superb, our waiter I believe Thomas was his name was attentive, polite but not bothering at all and in the end we even got free cookies. One of the best evenings we had in a restaurant/lounge in a long time.
Great lunch spot, excellent desert!. Salads were varied and good, and great choice of teas. The chocolate desert was incredible! Will definitely be going back soon!
