In Short – Modern red banquettes, glass-topped tables and wall-to-wall windows provide the setting for casual breakfasts and lunches; later, the lights are dimmed and candles cast a flattering glow. The menu spans traditional espresso shop fresh pastries, but the full kitchen also serves up omelettes, egg sandwiches on challah, assorted paninis and sandwiches, and shareable fondue and meat-and-cheese platters. Specialty espresso drinks are available with or without alcohol, and wine and beer are also available.

It would be great if it was clean!

by DGDA

Mocca has a lot going for itself. The location is great! The space is really cool, the lighting at night is quite funky. The pitta bread, tahini and falafel are really good! Price are also good the drinks are also very good value...a place I enjoyed to go but always had the same problem. IT IS DIRTY IN THERE!!! The seats are appalling, I mean even with the red color it needs cleaning they are dirty spots and marks everywhere...I cannot believe that they do not feel bad to serve food in such a dirty place. There is dust everywhere, it does not cost much to get the staff to spend some time steaming the seats and recover them. So last time we just couldn't ignore it anymore and wonder how the kitchen could be if the restaurant is like that. i am actually surprise they did not get caught by health regulation before.

Come one Mocca!!! Do some cleaning in there, change the seats, clean the floors, windows and the borders of the windows... and we will come back.... You have a lot going on for you...hire a cleaning company!

Friendly Service in NYC? Pleasantly Confused

by majorfoodie89

First time to the big city, and I was wary of "rude new yorkers"- everyone there from the host to the bus boy was SO friendly! I even felt comfortable enough to pull out my map. Just planning on stopping for coffee and directions, but ended up grabbing some lunch. whatever you do, get the salad! i forget the name but it had chicken and eggplant, and a bunch of stuff, for like 10 bucks, in lower manhattan?!? check it out, but cafeful, they make some stronggggg cocktails...which i guess is a good thing :)

  • Pros: the staff rocks
  • Cons: take the subway, no parking

Go For Drink..

by ddgalvan

Mocca is not bad. It's not overpriced. But it's also not amazing and not really memorable.

The service was forgettable to bad at times, but not maliciously so. Probably...don't go there. I give it three stars, but only because I can't really complain too much about things. Go for a drink and a snack, not for dinner? Yeah. There it is.
