Concert Event 4/24/2011.
They don't even deserve ONE star!
KES (a trini soca band performed on 4/24/11) Their performance was the bess ! However I am certain if Maroon Five or some other random band was performing- patrons would have been treated better!!!!
1. Patrons lined up for more than two hrs on the outside even though they had tickets!
2. Bouncers were unfriendly and annoying!
3. A/C never came out throughout the night
4. Even though the concert was sold out - the staff at the night club was not adequately prepared for the crowd.
Kes you deserve better - please play at a West Indian Club next time - and Amnesia - YOU SUCK !!!!
Friday night.

amnesia.
I went to Amnesia last Saturday night. I heard about the event from Marion. I met her at the door at midnight and she got us right in with no cover charge. She was so prompt and friendly. The crowd inside the club was good looking and we had a lot of fun. Music is more house like M2 before they were shot down.
If you want to have the best experience ever Google “Marion+ Amnesia”
Have fun
Fun Happy Hour -- Happenin' Club. Came here for both Happy Hour Thursday and Club Night Saturday and had fun both nights. The happy hour is great because there is an open bar from 5-6 and reduced drink prices (2 for 1) from 6-7. The music has been good, the bouncers are not total jerks, the drinks are well mixed, and the place is full but thanfully not overflowing with people.
Under age.... The crowd was attractive, but there were a lot of under 21ers. It was disturbing that all the bartenders scooped the ice with the glass rather than an ice scoop; I don't like glass chips in my drinks. One of my glasses was chipped, but thankfully there were no glass shards in my drink.
Teen night with a liquor license. Saturday night, coworker's birthday party. Walked up and said we were with the birthday party, no problem getting in and no cover. Actually staff were friendly upon entrance. Checking my coat was $4.00, I can do without that. The place was very open, super high ceilings, like it was an old barn, plenty of room to mingle. The music was a mix of old school hip-hop and modern dance/hip-hop. I actually liked it. The crowd though was way young. Plenty of eye-candy walking around, I could have easily met many, but I'm not into 21 yr. olds trying to look like Paris Hilton. It was ok, but I wouldn't go back until the crowd matures.
Good warehouse conversion. As far as warehouse conversions go, this is one of the better. The artwork, brick walls, two levels, and wall lighting make the space feel smaller and more sophisticated than it really is. Drinks very weak, but the bar is sleek. The disco-ball isn't as cheesy as it sounds in the Citysearch review. Frankly, the door should be stricter because it gets so crowded that it's hard to move by 1AM on Saturday, though there are many hot young women. Arrive before midnight, wear the latest from 5th Ave (not H&M), act like you belong, and the doormen will move the rope so fast you won't even break your stride. The sidewalk is a zoo if you arrive after 1AM, and you won't get in because the club is already too full.
ruby FALSE. This place was terrible. The crowd was cheap. The cover charge was overpriced. The staff had terrible attitude. The bouncers at the front door had a terrible attitude and even assualted patrons which is no way to run a "hip" club.
Guys Make Sure You Bring a Girl. The bouncers at the door won't care if you're on a list or not if you don't have a female with you they will not let you in. So before you even get into line grab a random female if you didn't come with one and go in together.
Young, Dumb and Full of..... I'm almost embarrassed to say that I had the BEST time at Ruby Falls. At 29, I was probably one of the oldest women in there, and unlike the other freshly hatched club goers, didn't get my clothes at the $10 and up store. That said, the hip-hop was decent (DJ played songs all the way through w/out choppy scratch mixes). AND I got to meet lots of eager, energetic young guys who weren't bitter and didn't talk about their jobs non-stop. Not too shabby!
