Buddy is Fantastic.
I just started working in the area and have been looking for a place that will be able to handle my long, thick, curly hair, and make it look fabulous. I just booked an appointment and they set me up with Buddy. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was being treated like a celebrity. Buddy first took me to his chair to see what he was working with before they washed me, and asked me what I wanted done. Then I got shampood and the girl who shampood me gave me a wonderful head massage which alone was worth the money I spent.
Buddy then was able to work his magic and I learned my hair cut previous had been totally wrong for my hair type and length. My layers and bangs have never looked better, and the blow out was fantastic as well, although a workout for Buddy. I would HIGHLY reccommend this place, and reccommend Buddy!

Marlene is the best Men's Cutter and Stylist.
This is a terrific place to get your hair cut or styled; an oasis in the middle of a hectic day or week.
Marlene V. does men's hair exclusively and has been doing mine, well, since I had a lot more of it. Even though I live in CT now I still come to the City just for haircuts by Marlene, and ALWAYs with no exceptions feel and look a hundred times better after she's worked on me.
The shop has the feeling of a nice little gallery tucked away from the hustle of the citystreets. Highly recom- mended. *****

The Best Men's Stylist Marlene!.
I was so pleased to get an appointment with Marlene an amazing professional specializing in MEN ONLY.
Before the hair cut,we discussed what haircut was bet suited for my face shape and texture of hair,and growth pattern
She devised a very complimentary haircut that suited me!
Most hairstylists made me look too feminine.
I,'m a very artsy kind of guy,so the haircut also fit my personality.
Wash &Wear ,my kind of cut!

The BEST salon and hairstylist in NYC!. After moving into NYC over 8 years ago, a friend suggested that I get my highlights fixed by Yossi. My hair is so healthy and my highlights always look so natural. Yossi is incredibly talented in all aspects of haircare; coloring, highlights, haircuts, up-do's. In fact, I consistently receive compliments from friends and strangers alike on my highlights and haircuts--and its all due to Yossi! Everyone in the salon is very friendly and professional. Its truly a treat to visit there!

a great salon experience. I am a picky and critical person - especially when it comes to getting a haircut. Based on a friend's recommendation, I booked an appointment with Buddy to get a cut. I was seriously impressed. I came in with an obscure reference to a French Revolution military hair style and Buddy got it 100%. I cannot recall ever being more satisfied with a haircut or stylist. Buddy was meticulous and really focused on what he was doing. Nothing is worse than feeling like a stylist is rushing through a job or bored and not really into it, but Buddy clearly loves what he does and takes it seriously. I found out he has years of hair/makeup freelance experience in L.A. doing music videos, commercials, and editorial work. It shows. The rest of the staff at the salon were all very welcoming, without any pretense or fussiness. Prices are fair. To be honest, I have never had a haircut under $60 bucks that was acceptable. My men?s cut was about $70+tip and given the experience and superb outcome, I'll pay that any day. Will definitely be returning. Oh, and my friend who recommended Buddy has one of the best looking bobs I've ever seen. She loves her hair and is a loyal repeat customer.

A wonderful find.... I happened to just stumbled upon the name of this salon, through Citysearch, after having to cancel an appointment at another salon around the corner, and boy am I glad things fall into place this way. Angie cut and styled my hair, and listened, understood, and really had a grasp of what technically needed to be done to achieve the look I wanted. I'm just so happy that an upsetting afternoon of being blown off by another salon turned into a really great find. Totally happy with my cut, and definitely will be returning!

The best hairstyling, color and atmosphere in NYC. I've been getting my hair cut by Albert for the last year. He has transformed my dry, color damaged waves to beautiful, natural curls with a reddish brown glow. Not only is the styling and color great, but the atmosphere is so relaxed, UN snotty face and fun. Great people, great music, great service, people of all ages and types all of whom are treated by the stylists, Maureen the owner and staff as great friends. Last visit, I learned that one of the stylists, Buddy, shapes eyebrows and does makeup which I tried for a major birthday party. The result, fantastic. He spent years in LA doing makeup in Hollywood and the result, like my hair, was subtle, natural and awesome. I can't say enough nice things about the place. And I've been to more salons in this city -- most of whom don't have a clue about how to style curly hair. I get so many complements. Albert rocks. As do Maureen and Buddy. Check it out.
