The Scene
As the stylist to stars like Meg Ryan and Michelle Pfeiffer, Sally Hershberger is one of the biggest names in the industry. Her New York salon, however, is less visible, on the second floor of a nondescript Meatpacking District building. Concrete floors, white walls, long rows of mirrors and iconic photos on the walls create a photo-shoot vibe; sleek accents, chocolate-leather seats and foot stools, flat-screen TVs and three private stations add luxury. The salon is always buzzing, but friendly staffers keep things moving smoothly.
The Services
With another salon in L.A., busy schedule and an $800-per-haircut price tag, a session with Hershberger is not always available. But staff are top stylists and colorists; some started out Hershberger's assistants, while others have worked around the world. Though each has his or her own technique and expertise, results are always flawless, with stylists spending as much time as needed on each client.

Went to Nikki at Sally Hershberger, Downtown, for color today and my hair looks amazing... she is absolutely adorable and had me in and out in hour (and that included the blow-out!) My hair is shiny and a gorgeous shade of brown. I have finally found a colorist that doesn't take four hours to do a single process because they are too busy socializing in the salon or talking on the phone! I WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK IN FOUR TO SIX WEEKS!
Pros: GREAT SERVICE - GREAT COLORIST!

Went to Sally Hershberger salon today and my long search for a great stylist is officially over. I've been to Bumble, John Frieda, and other top salons and always left mildly disappointed. Today my stylist gave me exactly what I asked for and I feel like I have super-model hair. He was able to do what other stylists had told me was impossible. Total magic!
Pros: Great Stylist, cool, relaxed atmosphere
