Ryung is the Best!. I needed highlights and cut for affordable price and my friend recommanded me to Ryung to get my hair done. Love Love Love. Best highlight and best cut ever! and it was less than 200 all together!

Shawn Salim is AMAZING!. Went last night for my first appointment with Shawn at Armando Corral. I have long blonde hair and highlights, and I hate looking too fake or bleached out...Shawn put about a million tiny foils in my hair and it looks AMAZING. So natural and shiny. And the cut - oh, the cut. I had a bad experience with layers several years ago so I've kept it pretty simple since then, but Shawn and I decided to try them out again, and WOW they look incredible. He is a genius. I have never been happier with my hair - thank you SO much Shawn!!

Shawn saved my hair!. I moved back to NYC from California and my hair was a mess, the color was horrific and I was scared I would have to start from scratch. I have long hair, the previous stylist gave me copper and super blond highlights, my hair felt course and fried. Shawn took over, he was able to tone down the color without excess chemicals and I have been able to keep my long style. My color is amazing, and my haircuts are a steal in this city. My hair is fine but thick, it has a mind of it's own and in the humidity it frizzes out. Shawn's cuts have tamed the wild beast and his is so good at teaching me how to style my hair that I look salon fresh whenever I turn off my blowdryer. I highly recommend both the Armoando Corral Salon and Shawn Salim.

Asians Approve, Shawn Salim. I am Asian, and I have a hard time trusting people to cut my hair. I met Shawn working on a commercial and he was styling for them. We got to talking and just from what he told me I knew that he was good at his job. He gave me the unconventional cut I had wanted and I loved it. You know it's good when other hairstylists are complimenting you!

I believe that styling hair is art and Shawn Salim is an artist. He is a sculpture that knows hair.

Shawn is a great listener, fun, and he is unafraid to explore and execute what you ask of him. He knows what looks good and he is highly skilled. I loved the way I felt when i was in his chair. I felt like art. And I believe that is the way you should feel when you are being styled. The end result is a great experience with plenty of positive feedback.

SEAN SALIM RULES!!. Sean has been cutting my hair for the past year and i wont let another person touch it.ever. He's hip and has a great eye. He always gives me a rockin haircut with a perfect blend of hipster irony and beauty. A major problem I encountered before going to Shawn, was my stylist over using razors to accomplish the look i was going for .As a result,it would damage my hair like crazy. Shawn, on the otherhand, is so technically proficient with shears, he doesnt even need to bother with a razor! If your looking for a great haircut, i would highly recommend Shawn Salim at Armando Corral.

Shawn is amazing!!!!. I love going to Armando Corral--it's comfy and intimate. I always get my hair done by Shawn--I tell him to cut it however he thinks will look best, and he always does an AMAZING job. Echoing the review below, Shawn's haircuts look fantastic as they grow out. He has a sculptor's eye--i've never had anyone cut my hair the way that he does, and it's pretty fascinating to watch. He's also a lot of fun to talk to.

I once completely wrecked my hair trying to lighten it myself. I used bleach and about three other things and turned my hair a frightening yellow that glowed when I turned the lights off. I went to Shawn and he totally fixed it. He put in a few different kinds of highlights, and didn't stop working on it until it looked great. I was just hoping for something that would look normal, but Shawn managed to make it look fantastic (and natural!). He's the greatest!

Best Hair Stylist EVER!. I met Shawn through a friend who had the funkiest and coolest hair style in NYC. I've been Shawn's number one customer since I had my first cut at Armando Corral. He cuts and styles my hair exactly how I like. I let him be creative and surprise me and I ALWAYS LOVE LOVE what he does... Every where I go people ask me WHO CUT YOUR HAIR! Feels so great when you get so much attention for your hair style :)
