Rip off and Scam Artist!. We went here after our holiday party. There were 8 of us. Our boss paid for 2 hours of the private room, and 2 rounds of drinks during happy hour. (($4 p/p for the room and 1/2 price drinks)) He had to go, and some of us stayed one more hour (until 7p). We thought we were all paid up from our boss' generosity, but the waiter told us we owed $150!! (there were 4 people) We were SHOCKED. How did $4 p/p (which is $16) plus one round of drinks for 8 people during happy hour turn into $150!!! We think that the waiter pocketed the $70 cash that our boss gave him for the room. SO BEWARE!! We had such a great time here and they had a ton of songs.. we laughed, sang, it was great! But at the end of the night, we were completely shocked that they over-charged us and probably stole money! Be careful! Other cons: The rooms were super hot and the bathroom was gross!

All That Gliters is Not GOLD. The quality of a food service entertainment establishment does not and should not rest alone on its decor, location or menu. Karaoke One 7 should take a lesson in curtesy and respect. I directed three questions to one of their "contact" people, only to have two out of three questions answered. They felt perfectly comfortable with answering my question regarding pricing but when it came to the logistics of service and food it seem not to be important enough.

I gave the person the beneifit of the doubt and redirected the question - maybe I was not specific enough or clear, highly unlikely. THIS TIME I WAS TOTALLY IGNORED.

K-17 take a lesson from the non-glitzy establishments. Show respect when given respect.

I recommend this place if you where NOT raised to do unto others as you would like done onto you.

Eh.....NO. I went here twice. The first time was on a Wednesday, so it wasn't that crowded and the staff was friendly. The seond time I went, it was a Saturday night and it was jam packed. TOO crowded. This bar is way to small. Not to mention my friends were african american and they treated them with poor service. I was a little upset about that. Find a place that's diverse friendly

Disappointing Karaoke Experience. My biggest complaint is that Karaoke One 7 states on its web-site that it has the largest song catalogue in NYC, with 80,000 songs and actually lists the songs it has, but the catalogue at the bar does not have many of the songs that it says it has on its web-site. In reality, the bar's song list is rather ordinary. That's false advertising! The bar is small, has a skimpy food menu, and the sound system is poor to average. It was just a very disappointing experience all around.

How much FUN!. Despite having been totally stood up by someone I met in a drunken sing-song stupor here, I STILL return (incognito) because it is just SUCH a blast! Staff is friendly, drink specials are the best ($2.50 for sake bombs and $3.75 for a STIFF vodka cran), the song list is great, the patrons are nonjudgmental (so feel free to sing whacha want - Bee Gees anyone?), located next to BLT Fish for after drink bites. So, all there's left to do grab the mic and say "Can you keep up, baby boi"?

Best in town!. I've been searching for a Karaoke bar that is more uptown then most of the village spots. This place has a nice bar area, if you don't want to rent a room. It also has the best overall updated music selection I've seen. The staff is friendly! What more could you ask for! it's definitely the BEST PLACE IN TOWN!!!
