Rug Temptation!
by dianekaufman
I've known Murat for several years, and he continues to be an excellent source and inspiration for my home. Extremely knowledgeable about all types of rugs, he has a wide assortment of pieces perfect for a NYC apartment and lifestyle. I enjoy stopping by his TriBeCa shop just to say hello! and see what new treasures are hiding in his stacks. I've purchased several gorgeous rugs from him; the prices are honest, and he gives you incredible value for your money. This should be your first and last stop whenever seeking a wonderful rug for your home.
- Pros: Excellent selection, professional service, and great prices.
Don't go anywhere else for rugs and carpets
by jpeaton
When my wife and I were in need of some great rugs for our new apartment we we went through the mounds of rugs at ABC and on lower 5th Avenue and were not able to find anything that we loved, while at the same time feeling like we could not trust that the rugs offered to us were worth the price. Then we stumbled on Murat's shop, a mirror oposite of all the other places. Murat spent hours with us on several occasions teaching us about rugs and carpets (ask him to explain the difference) and personally delivering them to our apartment and trying them out. As other reviewers have mentioned, Murat will help you find the best rug for you, irrespective of price, and unlike other places there is absolutely no pressure to buy. When you do find something you love, I am certain that the price Murat offers is the price one should fairly pay. In addition, his selection is fabulous for such a small space, a testament to his excellent asthetic. This should be your first and last stop--everything else will just disappoint.
- Pros: Service, selection and price
- Cons: None
Great Service and Selection
by craigprice
We had a great experience at Double Knot. Murat the owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the selection, extremely friendly and has a truly great selection of rugs. Because we could not decide which rug would be best in our home, Murat let us take several rugs to try out on a number of occasions. We came back several times and he never made us feel pressured into buying anything. He was extremely helpful, evening bringing the rugs to our house. The service was great. Also, his selection ran the gamut of all type of rugs and colors and they are each a piece of artwork. We love the rug that we bought. We had a wonderful experience at Double Knot and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a rug.
- Pros: Service, Selection
- Cons: None
