“Great selection of Juicy sweats and great cocktail dresses.”
“Excellent customer service!”
“wouldn't say i'm a regular customer, since the clothes are still generally out of my price range for normal shopping, but at least i know when i do go i'm likely to actually have a good experience.”
Simply Fabulous!.
Whenever I heard the name of this store I always thought it was for people who could afford really nice things. I used to think this place was very expensive and that I could never shop here because of that. Recently when I had to buy a dress for a family wedding I stepped foot in this place thinking I would come right back out, but I was wrong.
This particular Bloomingdale
Best of Soho, but not too touristy.
I love this store! When it first opened, I was really skeptical because I thought opening a Bloomie's would make Broadway seem really commercial and annoying. Since the people traffic on Broadway is pretty packed all day, I thought that the last thing Soho needed was another major luxury retailer.
But as soon as I landed on the 2nd floor, I was amazed to find the wall to wall shelves filled with gorgeous designer bags. So I quickly changed my mind. I love that the selection is limited and that the merchandise moves very quickly. It gives the shopper a sense of urgency and for me personally, I made it a habit of browsing through the store on a bi-weekly basis. It was dangerous for my wallet, but totally worth checking out the new merch!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I understand why the prices are high. Very pricey. Only people like Paris Hilton can afford, the flip flops, shoes, boots, purses, clothing, and especially the jewelery here. There are numerous floors and departments and trying on rooms. They hardly take back refunds. So once you purchase your item, you're stuck. So don't bother keeping your reciept. Security guards check your reciept befor eyou leave the door. There are camera all over the stroe, so it's one of the easiest and richest stores to get caught stealing here. And they will press charges and have you arrested as security guards love excercizing their authorities here. I met Rob Thommas from Matchboz 20 here in June30, 2009. Had fun. Long line, millions of screaming fans (girls) I had to buy his CD. He was signing autographs on his brand new solo CD he composed and taking pictures. Lines moved slow and security was extra-tight and bossy. Most were peurto rican and black. I gotta pic and autograph with Rob, he is so hot!!!!!!! And then he signed his CD for me. He asked me my name. I said I was a fan. I like bloomingdales, b/c you can meet the hottest celebrities here.
High-end duds, shameless name-dropping, and the iconic size-appropriate brown bag---enter this Manhattan-based shopping emporium.. For a place that has its beginnings in designer hoop skirts, Bloomingdale's fresh merchandise, bright lighting and colorful, quirky displays are all decidedly modern. Highlights include a drool-worthy selection of handbags for all tastes and occasions, and an incredible array of swimsuits and coats with its own petite section. The women' clothing section condenses favorite labels of all styles and inspirations: Ralph Lauren next to BCBG Perry Ellis and Norma Kamali, Theory and Vivienne Tam. However, there are also a myriad of private and lesser-known labels for the budget-concious shopper, as well as jewerly, accesories, shoes, cosmetics, luggage, houseware and gifts.
One stop shop for gorgeous!. This place is great! All high end dresses and clothing from BCBG to Tahari! Great selection of Juicy sweats and great cocktail dresses. When they have a sale....it's even better!!!
SO much better than uptown. although i'm still nostalgic for the old canal jean co., i just have to ask, why is this bloomingdale's so much better than the one on 59th street? the staff are SO much better and more helpful. i think i can count on one hand (ok, 2?) the number of times i've been offered assistance at the uptown bloomingdale's over the years, and at the soho one, it's a regular occurrence. i wouldn't say i'm a regular customer, since the clothes are still generally out of my price range for normal shopping, but at least i know when i do go i'm likely to actually have a good experience.
