I would never recommend this bar. The staff is rude and completely unprofessional. My friend bought 2 beers and tipped the bartender after his 3rd round he ran out of cash and was going to head to the ATM to withdraw some more money so he was able to tip her. Before he was able to do so she demanded a tip in a completely demeaning way. When I asked to speak to a manager the only response she gave me was "Is this in regard to your friend not tipping me, well I told my manager and she's on my side." Childish and embarrassing is the only way to describe her behavior. Boss Tweed's may be a great LES bar but watch out for the nasty female bartender!! I would never step foot in there again!

I used to love coming to this bar and always recommended this place to all my friends and family members, but not anymore. A few months ago I came here with my significant other and his friend to take advantage of their $2 beer deals. The bartender charged me $3.50 for a beer and charged them both $2 long after the deal was supposed to be over. Unfortunately, I found this out after the night was over. A few nights ago, I went back there again with a couple of friends and once again, they randomly charged us for our drinks. My friend, a first timer to this bar, oblivious to the prices paid $40 for two lemon drop shots. Another friend later ordered four lemon drops and was charged only $20. On top of that the owner was incredibly rude and out of line for some of his actions. A friend of mine, who doesn't drink, was kicked out because some stranger apparently bought a small bottle of liquor with him into the bar and sat down next to my friend. Without question, the owner kicked my friend out of the bar. When I asked what happened, I was told that my friend was guilty by association because he was sitting next to the guy. Nevertheless, whoever the person was that "had" the bottle was allowed to remain inside. I know this because when my friend got kicked out, the rest of us left the bar and went after him. I don't know what had happened to my once favorite bar, but if you enjoy random high price charges, and a terribly rude owner, then this is the place to be. Other than that, don't waste your breath, money, and energy to come here.
