In Short
This East Village space has a calm, old-world vibe. The menu is Southern Italian: A coal oven produces crisp, thin-crusted pizzas with a variety of toppings, including meatballs, gorgonzola, grilled chicken, arugula, even spicy salami. A host of pastas are available as well: lobster ravioli, penne with mint and ricotta, oven-baked cannelloni; as well as hearty meat and fish dishes like meatballs and sausages, chicken parmigiana, and shrimp scampi.

This is by far my favorite authentic Italian Pizza place in NYC. My friends and I love this place. The calamari is tender and never over cooked. The pastas are to die for. The owner/staff are the most friendly around. Highly recommended. You can go wrong here folks. Plan to wait for a table on the weekends though...well worth it.

I am an Italian guy from Naples, grew up between the best pizzerias in the world, and when I travel the world I always miss the taste of home. I found it now in the East Village, , there is a place called Luzzo's. The best Pizza in NYC, not American Pizza, but Napolitan Pizza ( a huge difference) Give it a try and you wuill never Stop. Delicious Bufala mozzarella and a crispy thin crust , baked in a old coal oven are what make this the number 1 Place for Napolitan Pizza.
