Cheap Apps. My friends and I drop in once every month. We never had problems with service. Maybe it's because we go there early and immediately order some cheap apps. My only complaint is that I've had hotter spicier wings elsewhere. I asked for the hottest wings and they gave me Louisiana level spicy sauce. That's not hot at all. Please get those wings up to nuclear. My friends love this place.

RUDEST STAFF EVER.... DISGUSTING!. This place is just awful - and mostly because of the disgustingly rude staff. I will NEVER go here again and am sure to make sure my friends and family all know to avoid this place.

Atmosphere is disgustingly preppy; rather dry and unexciting. The staff have the nastiest attitude I have ever encountered in all of New York. Rude to the fullest. This clearly is a recurring issue but they are doing nothing to address it.

This is the kind of place that thinks they can get away with treating their customers like dirt... even in a recession. Don't waste your time here, move on to the more hip and fun bars across the street.

BEST BAR IN NY. We have made Phebe's an annual event coming from Ohio. The staff have been great each time we have been there, all have been attentive and we never waited long for refills. The food is excellent. Never had Calamari until coming here. So get the combination appetizer platter. You can get a $3.00 beer, on football days, which is hard to find in NY. If you want someplace to go that is in a nice area and where you don't feel rushed come to Phebe's.

Fun place!!!. Phebe's is a great bar....nice relaxed atmosphere! Excellent happy hour...drinks half price!!! Food is delicious especially the phebe's burger & nachos! Place really gets going on the wkend....also great to go watch football when u can get $3 beer! A major plus is their hot staff.....think it must be a job requirement!!!!!! Highly recommend going to see for yourself!

great food, great fun. I would suggest Phebe's to anyone looking for great burgers, a wide selection of beer and a relaxed atmosphere. There are multiple tv's so you can watch more than one game at once. The staff is friendly and very attractive. Over all I had an good time while drinking and dining. I will definitely be a regular on their Two for Tuesdays burger night!!!!

Best night spot, best happy hour!!!. I 've been going to Phebes for a few months now & i find this place, to be the best happy hour bar in new york city by far...great prices on drinks & also half price APPETIZERS!!!!

The weekend night is perfect to meet people. The place gets really crowded but i must say that i always met someone interesting!!!

The bartenders are always at their full & i have to say ,they do a great job!!!!

I love the managers there, specially the tall american guy...he buys us drinks everytime we go! The irish guy is really nice too but he is not that good looking & is also married!!!!!

Anyway, i recommend this place if you are young, single, or just want to meet people & have a great time.LOVE PHEBES!!

Rude Staff, Lots of tools. This place would be alright if the staff wasn't rude. Staff definitely come first, then customers and it seems like a bad attitude to take. I would avoid it, there are hundreds of better bars in the Village.

THE WORST. Like any recent college grad, I have been to Phebe's many a time, in many different states of mind. It serves its purpose as a busy post-college bar but nothing ever in my opinion excuses the bad attitude of its staff. If it's early in th week or empty the staff here is fine but on any night from Weds to Sat. every person who works there will treat you like a 13-yr -old child. Now I understand staff being tough on drunk people to prevent dangerous situations but this bar treats all patrons on busy nights like you are pain in their behind. There have been numerous occasions when staff will just flat out refuse to serve you or help you in anyway. It doesn't matter if you are a regular or a first-time patron or your having a birthday party there, their reasoning in deciding whom to serve is akin to Mao's decisions when he was the dictator of China; random and baseless. For example, one night I left my debit card there by mistake (this happens at bars like these all the time). I called the next day and was told they had it and that I could pick it up whenever. When I went to the bar later that night on my way home, it was packed and one of the bouncers let me in to just get my card. Because it was busy all of the bartenders on duty refused to get my card claiming it wasn't there, even after I was told by them just 6 hours earlier that they had it. After trying to argue with them and telling them that I had been told that it was there, I was told to "just get the hell out and try again tomorrow" by the manager on duty. No manager should ever tell this to a customer except when they are destroying the bar, skipping on a check or any other criminal activity. Being rude may be the MO in NYC but it should not be in the service business. Good service is defined by being the best AT YOUR BUSIEST. Phebe's is always THE WORST at their busiest. Go there sometimes, hang out with friends or watch a game but don't expect to be treated like anything other than a juvenile delinquent.

Underage?. Okay, I understand some leniency. But I literally saw a 16 year old girl let in to this bar. How do I know? She is my neighbor. Absolutely rediculous, have a little sense of decency.

Not good for groups. Bottom line is we had a group of 5 girls, place looked rather empty, and they wouldn't even let us in for like an hour because they were line building. I don't recommend it for groups, and it looked like groups of guys couldn't get in as well. Pretty rough and rude security staff, actually felt like they were more fit for a dance club the way the were acting. anyway, we had heard okay things about that place, and were very disappointed. Do not go here with groups, and actually could probably find a better place down the street very easily that doesn't have as much attitude.
