Not bad, but not great either..
I've been there 3 times, although I was not impressed I kept going back because lucky them they don't have much competition in the area yet. (is coming little by little but is coming).
the food ok, the service ok, a bit overpriced but ok.
the hostess is as hyper as a Chihuahua dog, and treats the employees like caca, but that's their problem. not bad if you want to stay in the area because is too cold. lol
Great Food!!!!.
each time we have gone, the food has been delicious ... the salads are to die for and the steaks have been perfect
we love this place
Great Experience... Always.
I've been to Ricardo Steakhouse 3 times and it was always a pleasure.
The food is exellent I once had a steak which was exellent, I tried the Chilean sea Bass when my boyfriend visited me, it was also very good and fresh. Yesterday night my friend and I just had cocktails and shared apetizers and they were good too.
The service very attentionate, always smiling, we had to change one of our cocktail and they did it in a very pleasant way. I like the crowd too (very relaxed but still classy).
It is definitely a place I would recommend for a great experience if you live in the Upper E/W side/Harlem.
AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.
I ate at Ricardo Steakhouse for the first time over the weekend and was completely blown away. Not only was the Porterhouse for 2 the best thing in the world I've ever had...the wine and the drinks were superb and perfect for our meals. Other guests at our table were having the Chilean Sea Bass, and they were extremely impressed. Now mind you, my friends are picky out of towners and they were delighted by my choice of restaurant. When they come to New York they always want the best the city has to offer and this time I picked a winner. The restaurant was packed, and we did have about a twenty minute wait, but once we were seated, we were treated like VIPs and enjoyed literally every minute of our time there. The wait staff is dellightfully amazing and accomodating, atmosphere was very lively, and food was just to die for.
You must try the Sangria it was great and the mojitos my friends were sipping were delicious. In summary this place it's SO delicious! YUM.....I'd definetely reccommend this place.
Food Makes You Sick.
I ate here the other night and got pretty sick afterwards. The service was OK, but the steak was average at best and way overcooked.
Not recommended.
What a gem.
Upon entering this unique gem in East Harlam, you realize that you are in for a night of not only a fantastic meal but great atmosphere and friendly service. The decor, open kitchen, and outside courtyard are a feast for the eyes and a treat for sharing a romantic dinner, business meeting, or casual night with friends. The energy displayed by the staff accompanied by the up-beat music ensures that your evening will be an unforgettable experience. Ricardo's invites you to relax and enjoy an upscale yet fun enviroment without the "stuffiness" that accompanies (patrons and staff) of comparable opulant restaurants. Everyone at Ricardo's be it staff, chefs, or customers seem to genuinely enjoy being part of this experience. We had an enjoyable conversation with our waitress who's personality reflected the energy and livliness of this wonderful place.
There are few words other than incredible with which to describe the food. I had the avocado salad and chursaco. The freshness of the salad accompanied by the perfectly seasoned and cooked steak made my taste buds jump for joy ! My boyfriend had the empanadas as an appetizer - unlike empanadas we've had at other places, here, the meat was flavorful and the puff pastry was a perfect beginning for the meal. As an entree he had a platter that consisted of churasco steak and pork chop. Again, the meat was cooked to perfection and we both finished every morsel on our plates. Finally, we shared the flan for desert. I can say that I am a bit of a flan "connoisseur" - I try it everywhere I go - but the flan served at Ricardo's is by far the best, most authentic tasting I've had outside my grandmother's kitchen. I cant wait to go back !!!!
My Favorite place in the upper east side. This place was fantastic, we loved the service and the food was excellent. This elegant yet easygoing dining haven features a chic non-traditional décor that makes guests feel right at home. When we were dining there the boxing champion Tito Trinidad was dining there and by the pictures in the walls many of these celebrities have found this hidden gem.
Absolutely phenomenal. I went to Ricardo for a special ocassion and was thrilled to find that such a place exists on this side of town. The Steaks are AMAZING!!!!!! The service was exceptional and the wines extraordinary. Ricardo was one of the best experiences we had without breaking the bank. Try it.
WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE. WE HAD THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE AT THIS PLACE. THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT, AND THE FOOD AMAZING. THEY HAVE THE BEST STEAKS IN THE CITY, PROBABLY COMPARABLE OR BETTER THAN PETER LUGER'S AND OTHER HIGH END STEAKHOUSES IN THE CITY. I HAD A PARTY OF FOUR PEOPLE AND EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THE PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE AND ALL THE SIDE DISHES WERE INCLUDED WITH THE MEAL. SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER SEEN AT ANY OTHER UPSCALE STEAKHOUSE. THEY HAVE THE BEST MOJITO MENU IN TOWN AND A VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.
What the hell happened?. This place used to be good and now it's kind of a joke. They've had more makeovers than Tammy Fae, and it's super expensive for both the area and what you get. I still eat here every now and then but it ain't nothing to travel for.
