HORRIBLE!! NEVER PLAN A PARTY HERE!!

I posted the same review on Yelp since the word needs to get out. I would give negative ratings if it was possible

My friend and I turned down numerous bars to throw our bday party at and now are regretting taking our business to Still. We had spoken to them a week in advance about having our beer pong themed party there. Should have read the warning signals from the beginning but lesson learned. This is why no one EVER should throw a party there:

1) Response time was horrible. You would think after promising 50-75 people at the bar from 8pm onward would get some quick responses? No, we had to consistently chase down the "party organizer" for a respone and when we get to the bar on the day of the party (post several follow ups) he completely forgot we were having the event...which leads to problem #2

2) We had specifically requested 4 tables be set up for the games since we will be holding a beer pong tournament as part of the party. Simple enough. We get to the bar and NOTHING is set up, they didn't even have ping pong balls for the game! We spend the first hour getting tables set up and having the bartender run out to buy balls for us. Their excuse? Oh the guy who usually has beer pong games here brings his own balls.

3) They promised us the space from 8-11pm and after that the so called "private space in the back" would be for our use only for the rest of the night (which is where the tables were set up). Around 11pm the workers rudely stopped all games and just started breaking down tables without talking to me or my friend. We tried to stop them telling them the back space was for our use only for the whole evening and the tables needed to stay. No response, they just took everything away

4) The crowd there outside our party were basically jersey shore rejects who kept trying to crash our private party and of course we got no help from any staff to keep them out. After 11pm it actually got worse with what seemed like all underage thugs and wannabe's doing several illegal things in the bathroom. Of course our party ran out of there as fast as possible

Overall I warn you all if you want to throw a party or even go for a drink, AVOID AT ALL COST! If the rude owners/bartenders don't get to you the crowd will

Great Bar!

Last month I organzied a college reunion for my sorority. A lot of my girlfriends live in the NYC, Jersey and Long Island. We were looking to go to a good college bar and re live some good memories.

One of my friends recommended Still Bar, and it was perfect. There were almost 25 of us, and Still Bar was great at accomdating us. I did some research on Still and I wound up getting in contact with AccessGotham. com. They work hand in hand with Still Bar on large groups.

They presented us with several options for open bars, but ultimately decided to let everyone buy drinks as they got there. The bartenders were extremely friendly and made delicious drinks. Thank you to all for a great night!

Booked a party at Still through Access Gotham

I would highly reccomend having a birthday party at Still Bar but ONLY if you are going to book through Access Gotham. I booked through their website and it was so much easier than trying to contact the manager of the bar. Access Gotham was quick and easy and they guaranteed that my party would get in, get VIP service and even get free drink tickets. They advertise on their site that parties over 40 even get free bottles of vodka/champagne so next year i am definitely inviting more people! Overall it was a great experience the club was so much fun the crowd was young and really having a great time and all the people from Still bar and Access Gotham were super friendly and accomodating

Most Fun EVER

I ended up at Still last Wednesday where it happened to be trivia night. I've never had so much fun at a bar! Everyone was into it! $10 pitchers, a fun communal environment and staff that remembers what you're drinking. LOVE IT!

  • Pros: Friendly staff, good drink deals, Trivia night!
  • Cons: Bathrooms are downstairs

WORST BAR IN NYC

this is the worst bar in the city. i went there to watch the yankee game with some friends.

we grabbed a table because there was about 8 of us. there was no waitress, i ordered pigs in a blanket, the came out with the 6 they had left in the whole place and charged me for a whole order. They bartender had to have me spell the name on my CC to him 3x's throughout the night because he couldnt find it back there. (there was like 30 people in the bar)

the place used to be decent, but it has gone to complete sh!t. its a miracle they can even keep the doors open.

  • Pros: they have beer
  • Cons: service, food, just about everything
